After watching this video two days ago, I signed on to sponsor a little boy. I'm so glad I saw this. I can't wait to get to a point financially where I can sponsor more children.
Have you heard the story about the starfish? A little child was walking along the beach, throwing starfish into the ocean. A man told the little boy that it's a waste of time because he couldn't possibly save all of them. The little boy threw another one out and said "It makes a difference to this one." This story reminds me of poverty. One person can't help all children, but everyone can help somebody! Become a sponsor, please. Your help might mean the world to one person!

Compassion changed my life thru the lives of Poornima, Azizi and Herbert my sponsored children. My pray is that everyone will know the blessings of sponsoring a child , and that the life of a child was changed by their compassion for one of God's children. I love my "kids"
@patriciahager , pray is NOTHING more than wishful thinking! If you really want everyone involved GET OFF YOUR KNEES and do something other than talking about it! You have heard the saying "anyone can talk the talk but it's a rare few who walk the walk!
@99minerkc prayer is far more than that. far more that you, me, or anybody will realise. but you're correct. there is power in acting - because that's the very definition of power.....
@maadcat Really? Tell me then, why hasn't your ALL POWERFUL, ALL LOVING god healed the limb on one single amputee? Not one record of any amputee EVER being healed via prayer! In addition, the same can be said for quadriplegics! Ever heard of Joni Erickson? If you know of her you will know that she's a very committed christian and a VERY crippled one! Why hasn't your god healed her or those like her??!! I know why, do you?
@99minerkc did you happen to miss the fact that she is one of the people who acted and HAS already sponsored 3 children? Her prayer is that others will do the same - she can't make other's do it except by talking about how it has blessed her. I don't know what else you'd want her to do.
@jillybilly1976 I have NO PROBLEM WITH HELPING PEOPLE!! My issue comes in when people try to say prayer does this or prayer does that! Prayer is a complete WASTE OF TIME! The chances of a prayer working is like a throw of the dice! I could pray to a cat and have as many prayers answered as you would praying to an invisible entity!!
