  • @harek0artex I truly think that making flying cars is not impossible

  • best movies are from the 80s. where writers were geniuses :x

  • 0:24 lol

  • The makers of this movie actually thought that cities were gonna look like that in 2019 @ 0:18????????????????????????????

  • I have like 10 years watching movies like a yonkie, and this one for me is the best, the soundtrack, the best everything, is a visual orgasm, like it more with the happy ending.

  • just seven years more...and we´ll get those flying cars

  • @harek0artex according to Back to the Future its only 3

  • Blade Runner is the most implicitly Christian film ever released by Hollywood

  • @kashifv what makes you say that?

  • @kashifv Actually it's a film based of the novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

  • "Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave."-Roy Batty

  • "if the film was perfect, why has Sir Ridley continued to tinker with it?" - Roger Ebert

  • *video starts playing*

    me: looks cool

    *24 seconds in*

    man: I need your dick

    me: ok

  • Sean Young looked great being vague. Now we know this is her natural state. Parents in the movie and T.V industry which helped her for awhile until her looks wilted with the alcohol and her obnoxious personality pissed directors off so much she was persona non grata. Nepotism, height and good looks lost, for once, to lack of talent. She blew it!!

  • DEFINITELY ONE OF THE SCIENCE FICTION TRASH THAT CAME OUT IN THE 80's. ONLY VIEWERS WITH POOR TASTE & OTHER IDIOTS WILL GIVE THIS MOVIE A POSITIVE REVIEW.

  • @xpressivist shut the fuck up this is a classic you just can't see it because you only watch shitty sci fi

  • @omglolroflman you should be the one shutting up. A classic? Duh! You're so ignorant. Scanners, Terminator, Pitch Black are good examples of classic sci fi movies. They're repeated & emulated by subsequent science fiction films. This isn't true of Blade Runner because its so shallow & boring! Its not for a paid & tendentious film critic to decide which/what is a classic sci fi movie. Its for the audience & time to decide.

  • @xpressivist Well that's your opinion you brainless fuckface

  • @omglolroflman That's also your opinion, you nitwitted faggot

  • this movie will never age

  • It's the year 2012 and they better invent those hover cars in the next 7 years!

  • @ssjcloud why, there's never been any expectation or any notion of flying cars. just because they exist in a movie doesn't mean they will in the real world. besides out technology is more advanced then alot of things in bladerunner. they may be built at some point ie very advanced models in line with today's tech. unlike the cars in this movie.

  • One of the classics i need to watch i just finished the Godfather part 1 cant wait to watch this.

  • 74 people are replicunts

  • @bulletbelt13 what are u then watching this shit. ;O

    a fat bitch ?

  • @wietplantje100 hey nerd boy... go suck lil wayne's cock and stop trolling around, will ya?

  • @bulletbelt13 lol

  • This trailer sucks.

  • @audveltadmuna but the movies great

  • i'm doing this as part of my english course :D

  • This movie stands the test of time. So if Deckard is a replicant, as the director's cut implies with the hallucination, then that could be a sign of a conspiracy. Possible grounds for a sequel!

  • @VSCYBERPUNKHORRORS

they are already working on it.

  • I heard blade runner was a heavy influence for nolan with batman begins

  • so.. where can i pick up my little spaceship?

  • 9 more years

    cant wait :D

  • @crazy3641 You mean 8 years. Facepalm.

  • @Faroskalin Sorry my bad

  • 2:04 = When BIOSHOCK invaded BLADE RUNNER...

  • oh my bad..

    yea i enjoyed Wedlock.

  • this movie is way ahead of its time, really awesome movie

  • Can you believe Ridley Scott is making another one after all these years?

  • I don't remember ever seeing this. I notice it came out the same year as Tron. Is it any good? I'm guessing it's not that good since I've never heard of it.

  • @FlargidyTV I hope your being sarcastic but if you aren't you need to see this masterpiece.

  • @mastodon77 I'm not being sarcastic. I never heard of this. I thought it was that Arnold Schwarzenegger movie where he wore some neckbrace that would blow his head off. Like a prison escape or something, I don't remember. But that's not this movie.

  • @FlargidyTV you're thinking of The Running Man... which is not a good movie.

  • @FlargidyTV i guess you mean Wedlock > imdb.com/title/tt0103239/

  • @Dreamlgider Nope, I was talking about The Running Man. I remember trying to find the movie Wedlock a long time ago and I had trouble. I was looking for "Dead Lock" actually. Come to find out, for some reason, Deadlock changed its name to Wedlock. Not sure why... But Wedlock's a good movie too.

  • This film is Erotic Art !!

  • Is this a cheezy 80's movie or is it actually really good like back to the future? The picture and audio sound pretty average.

  • @MrRealityCheck88 I think is 1 of the most overrated movies in history,is kind of slow sci-fi drama,I actually like a lot of movies that are slows but this one was not that good,is not that bad either ,the cinematography and acting was good but the story just got too slow, you can check it out if you want...............

  • Now is already 2011, and I still don't see flying ships.

  • @DwightKoh93 i actually heard that flying cars has existed since the 1920s

  • @kallemick Whom did you hear it from, I wonder? LOL

  • @DwightKoh93 some video about aliens i think if i remember right the reason they havent been used is because you will need a pilot license to use them

  • what is the name of the sci-fi movie starring bruce willis with a blue alien opera singer singing with multiple voices?

  • @Rasmusorum The Fifth Element ~ <3

  • The way to tell if they are a real person or not, fuck with them.

  • inception of the 80's

  • @vietvipp I don't see how this is like inception. Regardless if there were any similarities, it would be inception is the bladerunner of 2010's.

  • The slickest line in the film is when Tyrell says, "I want to see a negative before I provide you with a positive"...I guess its just the way he says it. Awesome film alltogether. And Vangelis makes it all the more beautiful.

  • This movie is a piece of art.

  • man trailers back then really sucked. Gave away the entire story.

  • @quicsilver Trailers still do that.

  • Blade Runner is fantastic. The "Casablanca" of Sci-Fi movies

  • this book is epic, philip k dick is a genius

  • Dutch (Holland - Netherlands) Rutger Hauer was the best in this Movie.

Now he is playing Heineken in a new movie from the Netherlands. We are proud with Rutger.

  • @FransPannekeet Because nationality is incredibly important for art, huh?

  • I love his depiction of the future. Especially the city, a dirty grimy futuristic crime infested city, reminds me of japan or hong kong

  • Is it true that this movie was a box office flop when it was first released? I cant understand why. Could anyone elaborate on this?

  • @TheRandomSweed The reason why Blade Runner flopped was because E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which came out at the same month Blade Runner was shown. E.T. dominated the box office by making over 700 million at the box office while Blade Runner only made like 30 million. I guess the audience found E.T. more fascinating and more fun than Blade Runner.

  • @SnafuFrank I see. Thanks for replying.

  • @SnafuFrank You got that right. Just like The Thin Red Line kept playing sewcong fiddle to Saving Private Ryan...which came out a little earlier.

  • Rutger Hauer Brilliant actor!

  • Ive heard that a sequel to this is planned

  • @GCmediacourse

    i hope you heard wrong

  • @MataHari1994 Its true Its on the CleverMovies channel and on Total film magazine. I heard that ridley scott will director the sequel

  • This is the kind of movie you need to recover from, and I think I never really did.

  • its 2011 still no flyin cars hehe anyways this is a great movie i watched it now and it still looks really good

  • Honestly If I were to remake 'BLADE RUNNER' today, I'd cast Daniel Craig as Rick Deckard and Eva Green as Rachel..!!!

  • I SAY DEUS, DEUS, DEUS...EVERYBODY SAY DEUS EX!

  • @morten325

    DEUS EX!=D

  • @speedsurfer123 I say Prey 2

  • Seriously, what a fantastic trailer - and the sound effects at the end; awesome

  • Most people are replicants now.

  • you will still be watching this in November, 2019

  • @vnt87 2012 it's the end

  • i dont know i had mixed feelings through out the movie, the ending to me was pretty cheep, but the visuals are amazing, but again visuals are not everything just look at last airbender or avatar, the actingwas fine, but i dunno im in the middle i liked it and didnt like it, nothing was realy cleared up is he ir isnt he a Blade runner?

  • I watched this movie today for the first time in 1080p, i cumed during the entire film!

  • Just watched this - confused a bit about the end - snooped around for answers, finally got it - deep msg behind it, loved it - acting was a bit exaggerated had to keep on fwding but hey, it came out in 1982, that was to be expected..

  • @sasamuraki

but you had difficulty following a simple story... funny.

  • @imfereal What would be your interpretation on the rationale behind the villain not killing him at the end?

  • you forgot 5 element

  • Best Movie of all time...

  • oh geez shits really gonna hit the fan in 8 years...

  • Is that the ink spots playing?

  • Yes Rachel, I like your owls. Who who...

  • 2011 when they are going to test this flying machines??

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THEY ARE DOING A REBOOT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @CharlieALabtech

We actually dont know if its a reboot or not but i can tell you there are another 3 books so there could be another three movies.

  • @lleial Ridley Scott said it would be the next chapter and not a remake or reboot

  • @Zadeass does that mean harrision ford will be in it ?

  • @conrod15reveiw not sure but i doubt it. We'll see how Prometheus goes before Ridley even decides to mke another science fiction.

  • @Zadeass ok cool lets hope it will redeem the alien franchise

  • boring ass movie

  • @takemypot Only boring people get bored.

  • @mastodon77 Mad Men?

  • @mastodon77 Oh. My. God. You have opened my mind sir! "Only boring people get bored." I will always remember this when I'll get bored!

  • @takemypot it was ok,very overrated

  • @folladordeprostis It's a cult movie, the over rated part was the fans.

  • @pnoidd cult movie is the same as classic movie

  • @folladordeprostis No they're different. Cult movies are films that have acquired a highly devoted but specific group of fans and generally fail to achieve fame outside of their fanbase. While classic movies are often movies made between 1910 - 1960 during the Hollywood Studio System. This explanation is just a quick Google search though I know they're different =D

  • There will be a sequel of blade runner. But

they need to find a writer according to Ridley Scott

    said on Yahoo news

  • Yeah, knew it was Paull as soon as I heard his voice. Close to Ford's though, enough for the trailer. Absence of Vangelis makes all the difference. Thank goodness Van did it in the end.

  • Vi esse filme em DVD é excelente,um clássico.

  • RIDLEY SCOTT IS MAKING BLADE RUNNER 2!!!!!!!! GOOGLE IT!!!

  • Christopher Nolan's favorite film~

  • Love the cinematography. Awesome film!!

  • I thought it was one of the best Sci-Fi Movies Ever !

  • The best Sci-fi movie ever made, based on the best sci-fi novel (except perhaps for Dune) ever written "Do androids dream of electric sheep" by Philip K Dick, and the best thing is that when he was shown preview footage of this film's world he remarked that that was exactly how he envisioned it. Pity he never lived to see the film released.

  • this trailer didn't show how great the movie really was

  • This is one greater !!!

  • blade runner is one of my favorite movies gijoe 989.

  • Great Film fantastic story

  • Cough deus ex cough

  • @lukimarle.

If avatar is truly number 4 then you do not have an opinion in what a good movie is... ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVNT SEEN 2001. Also star wars overall is poor, only the aesthetics and villains hold up.

  • @BenFosterism Avatar was only popular because of the visuals. The acting and story was bland. A beautiful movie that was put down by it acting and story.

  • @GenerationMine The acting wasn't all that bad. But the story is definitely bland.

  • So...is he a replicant or is he human. Watch it again very closely and spot every detail and you will figure it out.

  • everybody had to catch up to this film. it was ahead of its time.

  • esse filme é um classico, show de bola filme da minha infância!!!

    brazillll!!!!!!

  • Awesome.

  • lol, the sound of the flier's at the beginning is just the same as hovercars' in Mass Effect 2 Thane's recruitment mission

  • @texteel That's probably an intentional reference!

  • Best movie ever made bar none... on so many levels...

  • i like the way leon says 'time to die' in this trailer like lucky the leprechaun with asperger's

  • @lukimahle When you see 2001, it will knock Avatar off the list

  • @CrazyChunkles avatar and 2001ASO is nothing alike, dont make that comparison...they both good but only one is really mind boggling :\ and we know which one that is....

  • the best sci-fi novel BATLE STAR GALACTICA!

  • top 10 SciFi-Movies for me: 1.Star Wars Saga 2.Alien+Aliens 3.Terminator 1+2 4.Avatar 5.The Abyss 6.Blade Runner 7.Independence Day 8. Back to the Future 9. Matrix 10. Predator Haven't seen 2001 yet.
  • @lukimahle No Planet Of The Apes? No Close Encounters? No John Carpenter films?

Avatar better than Blade Runner? Independence Day? Nigga please.

  • @Batman8657 if i had made a top 15, these movies would appear.

  • woooow so if understand, we were tricked again by the end of the world in 2000 and 2012, and in only 8 years we are gonna get flyin' cars, but no fuckin jet packs, i hate future!!!

  • Looks like we've got a runner.

  • I wonder if Deckard was human or a replicant? guess they left that up to us to decide.. did anyone play the PC game of this?

  • 0:24 I need your dick...

  • @llmetalll rofl

  • awww I love this movie !!! It gets way to little attention >.<

  • @ZaraK1207 Way too little attention? It's one of the most heralded films of all time and regularly makes the top FIVE of greatest sci-fi films lists.

  • @Batman8657 I know ,but everytime I talk about Blade Runner with my friends or people in my surrounding nobody seems to really know this movie.... and that's just what annoys me . :)

  • massively overrated film. People kept suggesting it so I watched it and wtf. boring.

  • @silvertusk me too..I watched it 16 minutes..too long..I cut it up

  • Hey Lloyd!!

  • Even the trailer for this movie was great. So many trailers not only give away the plot (or at least the turning points) of the movie.....but this one not only made me want to watch the movie...but got me excited about the characters and where the story would lead them......and yes, I've seen the movie multiple times. But again, it's nice to see a trailer that doesn't either give it all away in the viewing or make me yawn and want to run......

  • @TheFlyingToaster65 ♥ ☼ ♫ Asi es. ♥ #Liberty ☼ #Libertad ♫ #Freiheit ♪

  • Ghost in the shell was likely inspired by this.

  • yet another movie inspired by japanese animation "precisely Ghost in the shell"

  • @PurpleMoonYef

Uh how do you figure. Blade Runner came out years before Ghost in the Shell.

  • @PurpleMoonYef the manga was before you were even born so yeah.

  • @PurpleMoonYef The Ghost in Shell manga came out in 1989...this movie came in 1982

  • @Gray86Fox i guess this one is the one for Akira who came in 1980, ghost in the shell was the one for matrix, my bad.

  • @PurpleMoonYef Yes the Matrix was heavily influenced by the 1995 Ghost in the Shell film

The story for Blade Runer is based on Phillip K. Dick's 1968 novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" but I do think that the visual style of the film may have ben inspired by cyberpunk manga or anime

  • @Gray86Fox Right! you sir deserve ONE internets, anyway i didn't know this so thanks.

  • @PurpleMoonYef According to Wikipedia, Akira (the manga) was released between the December of 1982 and 1990. The anime was released in 1988. Blade Runner was released in the June of 1982. And Wikipedia NEVER lies.

  • @mzhivago925 i don't think wikipedia never lies, but not about these things, i guess you are right, i am dead sure that the movie was inspired from steampunk, so i looked and tried to rely it to any major steampunk works of art, but i guess i was wrong.

  • How far ahead of his time was Philip K. Dick?! His other books such as Minority Report, Total Recall, Paycheck, The Adjustment Bureau, Next, A Scanner Darkly, Valis, The Man in the High Castle, Flow my Tears the Policeman said, have either been made into movies or have won high awards. They were written so long ago, yet influenced the flow off science fiction today and only now with CG are they able to do justice to his ideas, yet they are STILL ahead of their time! Wish he were alive today!!!

  • @jerramy most of those movies suck. sad but true

  • @jerramy Yeah and purely factual correct too. Not like a random science...

  • @jerramy may id like add that blade runner was originally made with out CGI thats why it has such a big impact

im a big fan PKD and alway will be

  • @city78 I agree totally. The best movies rely on story not CGI. Back then when they didn't have modern technology to cover for their lack of creative story line talent, this book and its creative genious movie maker were so far ahead of their time. Nowdays it seems like there are about 12 life themes that get recycled over and over in upgraded backgrounds. I just keep seeing the same stories in movies over and over. Where are the original thinkers anymore?

  • I actually fell asleep watching this hahaha and i wz listerning through headphones aswell, and it wz the middle of the day hahahaha zzzzzzzz a real chore 2 watch.

  • This movie has terriffic colour and cinematography but seeing this shitty desaturated trailer coupled with the fact that it's a noir kind of makes me want to see it in black and white.

  • If someone was to watch this for the first time, what version should they watch?

  • A 106 million people in LA by 2019?? Are they are including illegal immigrants??

  • I need ya dick.

  • @AlexRider589 lol.

  • Freelancer?
