Isn't trying to decode or interprete the Bible in your own words wrong? One thing I know is the world would not end because no one knows when our Savior would come for us but there might be an earthquake or something the devil might use to try to deceive others

Here's an interesting verse that HC and his "followers" should read:

Ephesians 3:20-21 (King James Version) 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Really? Paul says "world without end." What does that mean? Or should we skip over this book ending and pretend it's not there. (like HC et al do) :)

I've been enjoying your videos. They've been helping me as I try to make sense of all this. It's hard to know who to believe when both sides use scripture to support their beliefs. What I feel deep down is that this May 21 business is bogus. It just doesn't seem right that we should get all excited over a specific date. I would like to believe it. I am completely secure knowing that my dearest loved ones and I will be safe with the Lord. But I don't want to delude myself if it's not true.

It was IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to know this information before the great tribulation because the seals spoken of in Daniel were not lifted off until then and God said it contains information about the end and time and judgment.

Also, the scripture that says there was silence in heaven for about a half hour? Silence in heaven can only mean that there was no one becoming saved in that time because there is rejoicing in heaven when someone is saved. You can't just skip verses that you don't understand you have to apply them...

@hetgow The silence in Heaven is referring to the time when the church age ended, because virtually no one in the world at that time was becoming saved. We know this because we read in Luke 15:10 that there is joy in the presence of the angels.

@hetgow That's simply because those they were not living in a time when God was revealing all of the time information. God specifically told Daniel "for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."

Even the disciples asked Christ as to when the end would be and Christ said "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power." The task of the true believer was to send the Gospel message out and not to be concerned with time.

I guess I did not accept his blood sacrifice as payment for my sins and the gift of eternal life. I never sat down and ernestly prayed with my sunday school teacher because Harold Camping says so. Wonderful vid! I have a feeling that Harold Camping and his Family Radio cult have crossed the line. That end-time prediciton is a sham and a mockery! In the words of Susan Powter, I should say to Camping and FR three words: Stop the insanity! Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Luke 10:22 gives an explanation on how to understand Matthew 24:36; that is no man in himself could know the day and the hour apart from God's revelation. Christ has to reveal it to whom he will.
