Personally I don't eat cat as it's a very stringy meat, and because their carnivorous diet means that they are more likely to contract parasites or diseases from their food, compared to their herbivorous cousins, if you plan to farm and feed them naturally, anyway.
That said, horse is oddly tasteless and tough too, despite their dietary needs. One of the less tasty steaks that I've had.
I also wouldn't make pate from a chihuahua; they have a very lean build which doesn't make for good meat.

Perhaps next year you can join forces with McDonalds to promote a broiled Sausage Dog - That's bound to hit the headlines and stimulate the sort of debate we were hoping this would.
