Randy Quaid is funny but not this scene or any other part of the movie he's in. This is truly one of the worst sequels ever made! Rodeny Dangerfield read the script for it and literally threw it in the trash! Chevy Chase also regretted reprising his role as Ty. Randy Quaid can't save this film either. Not even Dan Aykroyd can. When it comes to writing something funny, it takes creative thinking, and brainstorming. The producers and writers didn't have any of those qualities!

I think they put Quiad in a role that limited him, they went off the reservation with Chevy's character and they went absolutely retarded with Akroyd's. Then there's the whole turning Bushwood CC into an amusement park. This movie had potential for the first 25 min. (hartoonian character 10x better than Dangerfield imo) and a real plot! but then it just got crazy.

There is one (and only one) other great line in this movie. When Chevy Chase tells Jackie Mason's character that he needs to be the ball, he responds with "Why don't you be the ball, if I wanted to be a piece of sporting equipment, I'd be a woman's bicycle seat." Other than that... yeah, not that great of a movie.

IMO, the comparision (there really isn't any) of Caddyshack 1 & 2 is by far the greatest stretch from good to bad between any movie and it's sequel in movie history. Jackie Mason was an awful pick, but great as the voice of the anteater in the old Pink Panther cartoons.
