I like how the song title fits with the theme,

jotunheim was where monsters and trolls lived, not the world is dominated by humans who destroy it, so in some way this is jotunheim now, we are the monsters.

Some historians speculate that the Jotunheim norwegians was speaking of was actually Finland, where the giants used to live. There are studies from it. And Finns also used longboats and also raided villages, but they weren't seen as Vikings. Some Finns also accompanied Vikings with their raids.

It's nonsense by the way, in northern mytholgy giants mostly refer in some way to chaotic life- force. untempered by rulels in any way. they ar products of the chaos before the asen came. i think you captured that perectly, although I don't know if you realised that.
