After playing Rock Band and even Rock Band: Beatles this game looks almost childish, if not amateur. The little 'pegs' that you have to hit look just like any flash game, and the white bar for bass drum.

Looks like it was far too rushed. Especially with the terrible song list, just like World Tour.

It doesn't look like it's all that. My thing is: why do you need a vocalist? No one wants to sing. You can't do band vs. band without a vocalist which means you can't play band v. band. Did they change that on this one?

Yes, you can have any combination of instruments. For example, four drummers or two guitarists, two bassists. Even four vocalists if you really were that way inclined :P

Guitar hero is better from the technicality aspect of the music games. Rock band just has more songs. For the Overall design and homey feel I choose Guitar hero any day of the week. Plus the gentleman that came to ea with the idea used to work on the Guitar hero game.

RockBand sucks. At least I mean RockBand 2 does because they haven't released it in New Zealand so who cares about a game company that doesn't seem to care for potential consumers.

first off its Activision. learn to spell a great developers name right. second the scrolling note screen has been there since GH1 or have you never even played any guitar hero? guitar is older than rockband. rockband copied guitar hero and added more instruments. not the other way around. but guitar hero did try to appeal to more people and added more instruments also effectively making it "band" hero. its not about stealing from each other, its about how much cash can they rake in. OK, let me clear this up, Harmonix made Guitar Heros 1, 2, and 80s. Then GH was bought by Neversoft. HMX then made Rock Band. Neversoft made GH 3, Aerosmith, World Tour, Metallica, Smash Hits, and now 5. So, how is RB copying GH? RB just added the drums and mic and improved on it. GH added the same thing a year later. I turned my back on Neversoft because they tried to protect it by trying to cancel Brutal Legend. Besides that, I like RB more.

and for those who still doesn't understand: GH1, GH2 and GH encore: rock the 80's was made by HARMONIX. From then on, Activision took the right of producing the GH series (GH3, aerosmith, GHWT, metallica, smash hits...) while Harmonix produced the Rockband series, so ROCKBAND ISN'T A GH COPY! it's more like "What GH would be if Harmonix was still in control". IMO, and i play drums, rock band's drums are better, because in gh, the drums try to be realistic, but they are no way near- a one piece hi hat, a ride which is the same size as the hi hat, and no crash or anything. plus there are two toms one snare.... at least rock band (the original) didnt try to make it look real, and fail. However i would agree, I do love the music studio.
