Wow! You can really tell that Peter and Gunvor had a passion for giving the railway it's proper tribute. Looking at their illustrations sets the exact same feel for watching the engines in action.
KInd of makes me wish I was born overseas. At least th,en the travel expense wouldn't be so costly to see these legandary railways. Genuine gratitude for those who work so hard to preserve locations such as these.

Its the CHILL train, its welsh like RHi and it goes 'cho cho cho cho chi chi chi chi CHILLL! CHILLLL!!!!!' loving this train. so glad it didnt role down a hill when i went down it, that wud teach me not to walk. i wudent be so chilled then.
its so sad about number one on the fist day of the railway Ladas #1 was going up one. it was almost up when CLANK CRACK it derailed they thought it was a simple accident but on minute it on the mountain then the driver and firemen jump clear....as it rolled over down snowdon. ive seen the picture of what the crash looked like....it was in peices. one man died because he jumped out the window and under the coach. number 2 enid could not stop in time and hit the coach. the man was killed

Woah, it is similar to Culdee Fell Mountain Railway
paulharv100000000 2 years ago
That's because the Culdee Fell railway was based on the Snowdon Mountain Railway.

is 'devil's back from the railway series a real place?
sgtslapstick 3 years ago
Devil's Back is inspired by the Clogwyn Ridge on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. It's also, incidentely, where #1 came off the rails.
