  • it opens up a lot of possibilities. sure, to most people who cant afford to stay at a hotel like that or get windows like that it seems pointless, but the technology could lead the way for things that arnt. or it could be used in places that it could help, like children's wards in hospitals.

  • cool but kind of pointless

  • does the presenter guy not look like he's really worried the people will mess up operating the window at the end?

  • The presenter looks lke Gerard from Peep Show

  • this is for rich people to help them forget that 2/3rds of the world population, does not have clean water, a toilet to shit in, food to eat, and are dying from disease, war and most of all the greed of multi national corporations and banks and corrupt governments that are financing those worlds, while GM crops are created to starve even more people, i hate this world so much sometimes, i wish that God would just let me leave. every day of my life i have been in mourning for the evil i see

  • @persevere67 Moron

  • The daylight and traffic would never wake me. I could sleep through an air-raid. Still, thats some amazing tech they have there.

  • "Blue light which provides a re-energizing effect." Does this explain so much blue in TRON?

  • YESH! LETS CHANGE EVERY SINGLE WINDOW IN OUR HOUSES, SO WE CAN USE ALL OF THESE VITAL FUNCTIONS, AND AT THE SAME TIME USE A SHITLOAD OF TOTALLY UNNECCESARY ENERGY! Humans, seriously.

  • @olimario Talk like a reasonable person.

  • @12389Law I will when companies get normal people instead of asian pornstar stereotypes to promote their products.

  • It is a window right and not just screens with a city image projected onto it?

  • Wow, that's pretty amazing!

  • Oh my god Philips has invented time travel!

  • Comment removed

  • I need this for every room of my house.

  • genius!

  • Intersting ;D

  • " spend money on helping poor rather than this useless shit you fucking assholes

  • Philips shoud make a ceiling seemed to this for various type of light, as moon light, run rise, 12 o'clock sun, twilight and so on which could work interacting with decorative ceiling lamps fixtures, as pendants or plafons for quick light for the daily use. I like Philips inovations, I only think they should be as faster as Apple in put on the stores all those inovations.

  • @lgugue rut roh! A run rise, scrooby!

  • I can't use a remote, I have to STAND UP AND USE MY HAND like people switched TV channels in the 60s... makes me puke.

  • One of the favorites of Luminapolis Channel

  • It is wonderful to have daylight window.

  • So does this come in panels ? It would be so cool to be able to put something like that up on ones walls at home.

  • what i want to know is how much does it cost?????

  • Says the noise is blocked out when she's waking. Didn't sound like it was reflected in the pre-recorded sound. And what's with the canned applause? Shittest demo ever! Liked the concept though.

  • crappy quality video and audio.

  • nub, fuck your quality

  • Amazing, PHILIPS is ahead in Lighting Sys.

  • hmm i smell futuristic skin cancer

  • wow

    amazing

  • Light therapy corner. Oh dear.

  • "I don't even need to use a remote control! I can use my hand!"

    Hahaha. Seriously.

  • yeah man, it's ironic. go from people surprised to use remotes and now they are surprised they can use their hands again.

  • lol, such a tard

  • They invented the hot water.

  • Holy...shit. This is amazing.

  • every youtube argument should be marked as spam

  • youtube should not even allow comments then

  • That's really awesome however I need far more to wake me up in the morning. They better have an option for it to seriously buzz super ass loudly to get us sound sleepers awake or we'll sleep through our early morning meeting!

  • the future is fake.

  • What an unusually profound statement ;)

  • No, it was a very usual bs youtube snarky comment.

  • gets old after a while

  • No, sadly you choose to view it that way.

    Think.

  • I "think" that you "think" that your view is unique and more insightful than the rest of the population when it is clear your are just more full of shit.

  • amazing! The future IS now!

  • how could it be the future now? c'mon...

  • The window is very pretty, but I couldn't sleep in that room until they DOUBLE GLAZE the blooming thing!! The sound of traffic is atrocious in there!

  • Indeed that would be horrible. However when closing the virtual blinds of leaves, the window will produce anti sound to cancel out any outside noise and make a quite atmosphere in the hotel room. The outside sound was exaggerated for demo purposes. But the idea is that also in the morning, at your set time, the blinds would open. Not only letting in natural light from outside, but also the natural sounds. Wouldn't that be better than a beeping alarm, or a phone call from reception?

  • I didn't realise the window could control sound as well as light. Because the soundtrack was so noisy, I cut it off short... before sound control was mentioned.

  • @pantv it wouldn't be better, because you had to pay 100$ for it in the room charge EVERY DAY as phillips charged the hotel for a bunch of some dumb 0.03$ rgb LEDs, a 20$ webcam and interactive window, over 20,000$ per room.

  • These windows are so cool. I'll take ten.

  • Cool concept.

Also, the light therapy seems plausible, as long as one understands that by "re-energize" they should mean "increase alertness". Like caffeine, it's not real energy.

  • They are using it for lack of a better word, and because it sounds cool. No one would actually believe that you absorb energy this way, but you do feel better.

  • i just got out of the shower and im still naked xD

    awesome vid FO

  • fuck yeah

  • It's awesome, but 1 problem.

We love remote controls, I don't want to have to get up to stand near the window to change it.

  • you should have a remote for the bed. and a remote to take you to work and a remote to do the work for you.

It's not a TV, you pick a theme and keep it for a while.

  • so is any of that a real image of outside, or is that all digital

  • In that particular image, its all digital. The sounds are pre-recorded.

  • True, as this was a demo inside, everything was staged. However, the city you see behind the window is not digital... this is a set we created behind the window to illustrate how this works. Keep in mind this is a fully working prototype. And yes the sounds are pre-recorded. ;)

  • thats amazing

  • Pretty creative use of windows.

  • lol.. if only

  • Awesome!
