  • hahaha. All these people talking about supra's/other car's running in 9's. It's like your a small asian dude that can run 100 feet faster then a 6 foot, 250 lb beast of a man. Sure, your faster, but everyone thinks the 250 lb dude is cooler.

    But with that said, when a Challenger pulls into the lot, the bowties, the horses and the ricers might as well be invisible cause EVERYONE and I do mean everyone has got their eyes glued on the Challenger.

  • Dodge builds the Challenger to be a versatile car with an actual back seat and usable trunk. Realistically, how many people that buy a car of any size or power is going to do nothing but drag race it or race around a track all the time. You are going to want a car you can use to haul a few buddies or the family. Good luck packing a couple of adults in the Camaro or Mustang. The Challenger is a way more practical car for anyone other than a hermit or a race driver.

  • This is great performance, you should be very proud. The folks that drive the small, light turbos have their place too, but they really can't compare the two. A Kenne Bell SC is my next big investment for my 2010 Challenger SRT-8!!!

  • @vaflyboi757 = idiot! think about it man! a 4000 lbs car without slicks in the 11's is amazing! you drop the unneeded weight out of that thing you could probly drop the weight to 3500 maybe....depending on what you take out. then you add some slicks and that car could get into the low tens easy.... maybe even 9's with a little more boost.

  • my mustang ran 11.20s at 123mph at route 13 delmar dragway here in Delaware,Iv'e got the Edelbrock E-Force Competition kit ,11LBS boost,comp blower cams stage 1,full Exhaust,SCT tuned and dynoed for 488 Hp at the wheels,and 563 at the motor.

  • @GMurphSC06GT Test and tune, time doesnt start till you trip the line. He could sit all day long and if he doesnt cross the line the time doesnt start

  • @GMurphSC06GT Time isn't recorded until he leaves the line, he had to wait for his turbos to spool up so he gets a harder launch and is pushing more boost faster.

  • So people are saying that a turbo should not go on this car? You realize that it's Hennessey tuned and they are one of the biggest names in muscle car performance. I'm pretty sure they know what's better.

  • Love the car, love the turbos, but not really impressed by that time or mph. A 426 CI motor with turbos running 11 psi should be close to 650 rwhp if not more. This thing is just to heavy. If this was a 3500-3600 lb car, it would have done mid to low tens all day. now that would have been impressive.

This car brings back the muscle car days and you can`t compare it to light nimble 'anything else' vehicles. That`s what they have different catagories for. This compared to other muscle cars is very fast. Whatever people ...go be happy with your Supra turbos.

For one thing, it requires a LOT of work and $ for a Supra to go low-11s, and this thing isn't even hooking up or taking off hard---look how it launches, the 50ft time has to be atrocious. This is a mid-10 second machine with some slicks, something that 1000hp Supras usually can't even do.

  • Do you have a truck or what? I love seeing big dodge and chevy trucks flat out smoke everybody when we go down to the strip. There is no reason to be embarassed when you see how much power some of these trucks are putting out but people in corvettes and vipers always get pissed when a 2500 ram smokes em with off road tires on.   • in test and tune your ET begins from when you take off. Reaction time has nothing to do with it.

  • From the time the green light hits on the christmas tree to the time the challenger's brake lights go off is over 3 seconds. That 11.2 must be timed off of the starting line phtocell and not the green light.

  • Bench racing at it's finest. The reaction time has NOTHING to do with ET and MPH. The clock doesn't start till you cross the second staging line. People often wait on greens when doing shakedown passes or spooling monster turbos.

  • I'm guessing the jeep's faster because it's heavier weight reduces the wheelspin (burnout), making it take off better.
