Only a small town in the state of Puebla celebrate it.

That whole controversy was so embarrassing. Our school has always had these problems on Cinco de Mayo. The administration told the students the day before not to wear flags or Mexican/USA colors with the intention of preventing any problems, and the students were warned that they would be asked to change if they didn't comply. Those guys tried to play it off as if they were the victims, but they were really just rebellious jackasses looking for their 15mins of fame.

@YourLamb Having always been a rebellious jackass myself, I sympathise with them. The First Amendment protects my right to be offensive and I never agreed with the whole notion of checking my Constitutional rights at the front door of a school. The whole school system in America, and indeed the entire world, is terminally broken.

its not even a natianal holiday anywhere. just the bay area celebrates it the most. the vice principel was trying to avoid fights, its happened before cause kids wore red white and blue on cinco de mayo
