Loved this amazing music! Was at Y101 at the time in Cebu City, Philippines. A very young DJ and this kind of music opened me up to great music of all kinds. Before sordid vulgar pop could ruin fine taste. Forever grateful to the people that introduced me to the man himself. Kawa, Pines, Binggoy and the others! Oh! Cherry! I really remember you with sweet thoughts timeless as this tune!

Noel Pointer died years ago. I think he had a stroke or heart attack, went into a coma and died. Not certain on this, but I was in NY listening to CD101.9 and they said he had passed away. I used to go see him play at two jazz clubs in NYC and met his precious wife one night before he got up to play. I think it was B. Smith's Rooftop Cafe. He was going through some things as we all do.
Miss Mr. Pointer, a classically rained jazz violinist...one can only imagine what he would have continued to create if he were here with su all now! Home with the Lord , he is!
