I want to know why the Republican party is hiding the truth so much about Obama's tax code. He stated that taxes will increase for any individual or business making less than $250,000/year. For businesses, that's AFTER all business-related expenses are paid. So, that 250,000 is pure profit. Can businesses not survive on that much extra money a year? Also, he stated that businesses would be required to provide insurance for their employees ONLY IF they could afford to do so.
What do you not understand? Obama wants to raise taxes on the corporations and the largest small businesses that create the largest portion of jobs. Also taxes at the corporate level always trickle down. What Obama is proposing is trickle down taxation. The government spreading the wealth led to the subprime crises, education inflation, health care inflation. The more the Government spreads the wealth the less that is created.

There's a distinct difference between Republicans and Democrats on the tax issue.
It appears the Republican's do not want to pay taxes. They want to keep all the money they earn for themselves. As is apparent in Joe's case, when he doesn't pay his property tax.
Democrats pay taxes to the government with the understanding that 7.5% of that Federal Tax Dollar is going to go to entitlement programs.

I want to know why the Republican party is hiding the truth so much about Obama's tax code. He stated that taxes will increase for any individual or business making less than $250,000/year. For businesses, that's AFTER all business-related expenses are paid. So, that 250,000 is pure profit. Can businesses not survive on that much extra money a year? Also, he stated that businesses would be required to provide insurance for their employees ONLY IF they could afford to do so.

What do you not understand? Obama wants to raise taxes on the corporations and the largest small businesses that create the largest portion of jobs. Also taxes at the corporate level always trickle down. What Obama is proposing is trickle down taxation. The government spreading the wealth led to the subprime crises, education inflation, health care inflation. The more the Government spreads the wealth the less that is created.

That is how it is now. I did see something on CNN that explained his tax code in-depth. It basically stated that "Joe the Plumber" would get a greater tax cut with Obama's plan. However, we must realize that the president cannot just create laws. It has to be passed through the senate and the house of representatives. And, you are right. It will take quite a while before the US gets universal health care.

Lowering taxes on businesses gives those businesses the ability to create jobs. As in "Now we have the money to pay somebody". Also...if you are a million dollar CEO and are paying the same percentage on taxes as a 9.00/hr sub maker, you are making up for the fact that the sub maker doesn't pay enough taxes for the system to support him. 20% to taxes means one pays 4000 a year and the other pays 200,000 a year. There are plenty of people who are wage slaves, they work 40 and 50 hours a week to make lower class wages. They don't have any disposable income because their meager wages are barely enough to pay their financial responsibilities.
