  • I couldn't notice any difference from my PAL version? You sure you aren't mixing up improvements in graphics between MD and SNES rather than regions? The sound is weird on your video. Are you using an emulator? I never could get the SNES versions of both EWJ games running well on ZSNES or Snes9X. Sound glitches galore. I think this is the reason the VC gets the Mega Drive EWJs.

Thankfully these are not present when playing the genuine cart on a real SNES!

  • One of the best platformers of the 16-bit generation. I think I'll go play it right now...

  • Nintendo Fanboy alert tons of people who prefer the genesis version are getting thumbs down

  • I hate these dumb faggots that argue over which version is better. Both are good.

  • True. But it is a shame the SNES port is missing an entire level.

  • SNES port is also missing some animation frames due to limited memory and processing speed. Mr. Tennapel told me.

SNES version was always my favorite as a kid but I wish it had Intestinal Distress. It would be so boss. Now that I'm older and I can appreciate things for what they are now.

I love the Special Edition for Mega CD and PC.

  • Oh god the music and sound effects in this game are ass.

GEE AND THEN I WONDER WHY THE SAMPLED THE SEGA GENESIS VERSION WHEN THEY MADE EWJ2

  • The Music/SFX is actually better on the SNES last I checked (I could be wrong), the emulator didn't really do it justice at all.

  • No...I've played this game on several emulators

Everything sounds fucktons better on the sega genesis

  • The music in the Genesis version is better i think

  • The Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor "Quasi una fantasia", Op. 27, No. 2 - Moonlight Sonata for short - by LudWig Van Beethoven (1770-1827)

  • Pleace people, i NEED to know the name of this song....PLEACE!!!!!!!!! :(

  • Dude, this is JUST LIKE the american SNES version. This isn't ANY different.

  • The moon looks new.

  • Wait, where's Demon Frosty?

  • I think he bypassed him, thanks to some glitch.

  • It's not a glitch, it was a trick deliberately put in by the level designers.

  • Hey, I have a question. I just picked this game up for the SNES (the PAL version) and I was stuck on this level so I checked out your video. At 3:39 there's a platform that you jump on after you swing from the hook after you go through the gate. That platform is NOT there when I'm playing the game. Is there anyway to get through the level without it because I'm sure there's something wrong with the cartidge of the game. Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • How do you get the japanese version on the genesis?

  • i really love the soundtrack of this stage.....

  • I think they lengthened the elevator music part on this one. Might just be the snes, though.

  • u call this the japanese version of this game. But what's the difference between this and the US version?

  • Sound differences and the opening for the stage is different.

  • there is no platform after the first hook 3:37

  • Always preferred the Genesis/Megadrive version myself. Never played Special Edition.

  • Definitely. A lot of music is better than SNES, there's music changes for the bosses, the sound effects are WAY better, and there's another fun level! With fish-copters! How much better can it get?

  • Wow, what system is that on? The music sucks.

  • super Nintendo.

But I'm playing on a emulator that kinda screws things up.

  • Most of the time, the SNES version has better music, but the Genesis beats them big time on this.
