@matthewcb4 yeah it appears during the boot up before the login authentication. im not sure how to resolve it, or if it can be resolved, but it doesnt seem to be affecting anything so i will just ignore it
Also, an update to you, felttoaster, I bought a 4GB High-Speed SD card an hour ago, configured it to readyboost, and the readyboost makes a huge difference (before I used a 1GB SD Card). So get that readyboost going! It's cheaper than RAM!
k wait what is the difference between windows 7 starters edition home premium and all the different 1s im looking for a laptop and they all have windows 7 but its different like the one i listed and more for the different computer so please help like what is the difference between them
@1012mikestar Starter Edition is optimized for netbooks while Home Premium is suited for Desktops and Laptops, I dont recommend for this computer getting anything more then starter
@felttoaster I disagree with you felttoaster, I installed Ultimate on my HP Mini 210, and it runs beautifully! Keep in mind, I maxxed out the memory at 2gb, and I am using ReadyBoost.
@talldude123 i did that sme wirh mine and i think that it runs better with windows 7 ultimate than it did with starter although i didn't upgrade the ram
@felttoaster Not really. It would be pretty "laggy". But, even if you bought a high-speed SD card, available for $30 or so, it would make a big difference. You would use such a device as "ReadyBoost". It essentially stores recently used programs in cache on the SD card.
Sorry to say..mine is faster.

That streak of line would just appear on your video camera when you take videos.

when i turn it on (during 0:24 - 0:35) there is a streak/thin line of random colours near the top edge of the screen. is this normal?
anntorr 1 year ago
@anntorr Does it affect anything but your boot up screen?
felttoaster 1 year ago
@felttoaster no everything seems fine
on the hp website i found that few others had this
they downgraded from windows 7 starter to windows xp and the problem was gone
id rather not downgrade though

@anntorr This does the same thing to me but then it goes away. Have you noticed anything progress from that?
