Whether it is man made or not, it's not going to be good for you if it warms up too much. It won't just affect what you wear, but how and where crops grow. And not every place would warm up initially. Melting ice bergs heading south would cool some areas, and changing wind and ocean currents could move the gulf stream, which keeps parts of North West Europe free of coastal ice, despite being further north than US -Canadian Border.

Have you ever heard the concept of an equilibrium? I sincerely hope so - it's a common theme in high school chemistry. Yes, plants use CO2 for PS and give out O2, but they also respire too. Not to mention, all other life respires too. As you can imagine, this would reach a steady balance (with all the other CO2 interactions in mind), with an almost constant concentration of CO2 in the air.

Now shifting that equilibrium is what we are doing, via burning fossil fuels, and deforestation.

Please read up about the lake effect. The snowfall has been increased because the storm is getting additional moisture from lakes that are TOO WARM (because of Global Warming). It is a LOCAL effect --- just around the lakes. It has nothing to do with the ICE CAPS - and yes, the ICE CAPS are still melting.
