When we were trying to name Kayleigh I thought Cayenne was a pretty word with some spirit to it but it is also a spicy pepper so it was kind of a non starter. Because I like them both but they sound too much alike. And actually I want to be a novolist. I wonder why all names suddenly sound terrible as soon as you're actually going to hve a baby, even the ones that have been at the back of your mind as favourites for years, heck *especially* those ones. Everything slighty unusual sounds weird and anything even slighty mainstream sounds bland. Oh well, still have months to decide fortunately.

What do you think of Jemma? Maybe with Belle; so t'would be Jemma Belle Brown. A few other names we're thinking about (that haven't been vetoed by the other) are Jeannie, Delphi, Zaria and Amelia; All of my nieces bar one coincidently have names begining and ending with A; Anna, Allysia and Anastasia. Not a reason of course, but inspired us to look at A-a names.

Do not call your kid their middle name instead of their first name on a daily basis from birth. This only causes lots of problems when your kids have to fill out legal documents which require the wrong name and your kids have to start correcting everyone about their screwed-up name. People tend to get extremely rude when they have to corrected and your kids will be verbally and emotionally abused by strangers. I call this type of curse a legally required alias that never stops hurting the kid.

Thank you for pointing this out!! I work at a doctor's office and it is very frustrating when my patients use their alias and we try to verify their insurance coverage with "incorrect name." My stepson's mom did this to her son, and I wish she didn't!

I dont know if you already named the baby, and taste can be very subjective, but here are my current favourite names for boys: Noah, Levi, Adrian, Edward, Moses, Alfie, Felix..... I also find British names really interesting, Dylan used to be my favourite name a few years ago.... Actually i find boy names are harder to find than girl names, my list for girl names is much longer, well hope that helped a little :)
