@18abVFL It may have been, sounded just fine though, loud as shit. If that was to much port area, you need to take that up with DD, they gave me the specs.
@keithstinnett51 it is, the problem is bad placement of woofer, and the subs are loading differently in that box. the port is right behind the left woofer so it has more pressure compared to the right woofer.
if i were you i would have put the port in the middle and at the back, sounds alot cleaner, louder and less boot rattle.................but other than that nice system......i am thinkin of getting the 12" versions
@scootbmx01 Yeah, I thought about that too, didn't think about it at the "time". Just was glad to finally get someone to build me a box for a decent price. The box did do it's job though. The car was not very well insulated. The system was a lot louder than the camera could pick up. My car is just a POS that setup rattled a bunch of stuff loose. The bass was to much. lol. I put my same system ( back then ) in my boys chevy impala (03) and it knocked harder than in my car. Needed more sound damp.
@scootbmx01 His rear view mirror actually broke off (with wiring and all still connected to it) , his side panel with that black strip down the sides ( of those years) and his headlights wiggled loose(may not have been secured). Now I wont blame all that on the bass, its just funny all that went wrong AFTER he put my system in his car. Oh yeah, Radio face fell off ( his aftermarket radio ), a few other things.

lol, you have to hit 160+ db to crack windows. Im talking at 142 to 150 db. Your car isn't going to instantly break or rattle apart, that would take 3-4 years of constant bumping.
That actually depends on the car. I have witnessed cars windshields cracking with less than that. BUT I will say that their cars already had cracks in the windows, and mine has a few as well...which is why i made that statement. Either way, I no longer have that system. what stock speakers do you have than? id love to know what door speakers or wherever they are mounted in your car comes stock that can hit 5 hz note. i have aftermarket infinity kappa perfect 6.5s that cant do that. not can my memphis pr 5.25. so id love to know and see what stock speakers you have. and one last thing if this were possible they would be so distorted that you could not hear a word out of them.

Thank you for saying world's loudest car and not world's loudest subwofer. I hate it when people think DD has the world's loudest subwoofer. The setup was tuned to the Re of the woofer, which is no wonder how a single 18" sub got so loud in a tiny car. For anyone who doesn't know, purpose-built burping systems are no brag to actual music. The DD car has a VERY STEEP rolloff above and below it's tuned frequency. It's just loud, that's all.
They would need to track down the city and location of the city I'm in to get me. And I don't advertise. I did that for the video. I have many items to help someone change their mind incase they decide to try to remove anything from my car. Trust me. My systems won't be touched. Anyway that system was sold. I have another now
actually they bench tested the 2200 it puts out an even 2100 at 14.4 volts and i know your not getting that with the rise and voltage drop, your not seeing more then around 1700
Hey man how big of a box are you running? I've got a 4 cube box for 2 12's that I had custom built for daily driving and competition but I didnt know if they would sound good since it says its best with 5 cubes.
3.5 cubes tuned to 36hz is what I remember it being built at. 5 cubes is best from what I remember reading depending on the vehicle. I didn't have enough trunk room for that 3.5 cubes pretty much filled my trunk up.

What? Thats impossible.. A 40hz wave is a 40hz wave, period. Nothing can change how it sounds.
It is okay for a higer tuning because DD recomends 40hz tuning for their subs.

when i record this same song on my camera, my mic doesnt even pick up the bass. all you hear is near silence because the sound waves from the bass overpower the camera mic :P Check out my set up
