What a great idea for a competition.

Its the first competition to do with lighting great. I am really intrested in lighting.

this isn't a fair competition. its not about

skills or something else, its about money. if a dj, mobile or not, has a lot of money, he can buy good quality lights, and make a nice video.

so, based on what criteria are you gonna give the prize j? based on spectacular lights or spectacular arrangement ? because in every situation it's all about the money that a dj has.

to ladduro, THINK!! sometimes less is more, sometimes far fewer lights is better than too many and a full on light show when you cant see the diference between one light and another! In my mind a good light show would be a few moon folower with a mirror ball and a laser pointing at it! j

With little money but lots of dedication and practise, you can get better and better even with the cheapest dj equipment. Now with lightning there is not much u can do about it. IF you can make the best of your lightning kit, weather its cheap or expensive, thats cool. But honestly i dont agree with this competition. What if the dj's home doesnt allow him to make the best of his lightning show? what if he only owns a mirror ball and a strobe? theres only about 3 decent ways to set it..

If i own only 2 crappy belt driven turntables and a 2 channel crappy mixer, and a pair of vinil records, i can practise and make the best of it...make the best mix i can with only those 2 tunes...maybe do a crazy mix with lots of twists and turns...but what can i do with only one strobe and a mirror ball?
