I think every CoF album has their pros and cons, but mostly pros. Started off in Midian ages ago, however loving even the newer music so its not a bad thing if certain songs arnt as good as others. Always happens. No way you can get a awesome song every song (Unfortuantly) But at least to me almost every CoF has good song/story/sound/etc.

Though Thornography was..... quite bad compared to their other albums lol. I still enjoy listening to it though. Darkly is a pretty damn good album IMO, I don't really understand the hate for that one.

@ChefCharmander As for me, that's mainly the mutation of Dani's voice that really bothers me. After Nymphetamine, so starting with Thornography, he started to sing lower, IMO, and lost his... "unealthy" voice, whispers, and high pitched screams. Well, it changed, and as far as I'm concerned, I enjoyed far more his former way of singing. So I'll stick with pre-Nymphetamine records, Nymphetamine included, though I recognize some of the last songs are damn good.

For me it's when Stuart played his magic guitar with Gian (Dusk, Cruelty & FTCTE). When Dani fired Stuart they started playing more technical, but still made a lot of good songs - like this one.

Meh...their first demo was quite BM, and TPOEMF was black metalish at a time where the BM genre wasnt as well defined as it is now.

I considered it BM at the time. Mostly because of Danis voice i think.

For the people saying black metal is not satanic: wrong. The majority of black metal is satanic or at the least anti-christian. As with any rule there are exceptions though, such as Cradle of Filth. However, Since their Midian release Cradle has been playing music more along the lines of extreme gothic metal rather than true black metal
