I saw the documentary for this film.. Appairently they Italian government took the replica guns they used 2 weeks into shooting. So Enzo and the crew made fake guns out of wood and plastic.. The guy that did the explosions made a sparks that would come out of the gun...

This one has a hilarious gaff in it though...there's a scene where there's a big shoot em up in the disused warehouse and a grenade blast sends a bloke flying upwards...you can see he's attached to a rope pulling him lol, its well funny.

This is the one that I like and am going to buy, not the one that came out last summer. I first saw this as a kid in high school on tv. I was a sophmore and was most impressed with this action-packed movie. Definitely my kind of action! Where are you going to purchase the three-disc DVD set from?

Does anyone else find the word "inglourious" a little repugnant? Something about the sound of it is just awful. 'Not glorious' sounds ok. But putting "in" at hte front makes it sound really awkward to say.

And this movie actually spelled "bastards" right. Why did the new one with Brad Pitt spell it like a retard?

Not story-wise, but probably was shot there (many 1960s and 70s war moves were filmed there or in Yugoslavia to take advantage of large numbers of cheap extras with military training); so it's possible that the soundtrack paid indirect homage to the country hosting the production.
