I know someone who had one of these sets who got the ball to over 300 MPH. a metallic track along this hillside road which was at a 20 degree angle and went on for I think 10 miles. They started the ball on a ramp that was twenty feet high, and let it go down there track. the sideline story is there was a local scrap yard and they fashioned the track from pieces of different cars they cut apart and welded together. They also coated the track with some kind of super lubricant for metals.
