  • Tim, I just happened upon this after Lee Allen. I thought Ry Cooder got around. Whew! Danny Gatton, Hubert Sumlin, Ruth (and Chuck) Brown, Zal, Nils, Bo, all the way back to Leadbelly. You are an historian and a genius, if "That's OK" to say.  Your musicology pedigree is awesome. It should be documented as Tim's compendium of Washington, DC popular music. Now, that would make for a good reference as well as a fascinating history.
