  • Great build man!! Thanks for posting it. Im working on a nitro Traxxas Summit. It should be cool with the T-locks and high and low range center diff should be great for a nitro. I really like your build, i think the nitro/gas crawlers are fare more realistic than the electrics, yeah, they perform well, but not as cool as a nitro/gas burner. Great job, once i finish this Summit ill post some video and compare it to a stock summit.

  • rofl and I have complained about ESC noise. Nothing compared to that fucking bumblebee without wings.

  • I would want that so much more if it was batterie

  • S?

  • How do you feel about a savage based Crawler? I might pass that off. Frankenstein a couple gear reduction items in and another servo. Might even pull off reverse. Is it legal for you to complete with electric Crawler.

  • Nice bro. I always thought of doing the same but the old lady would not like to discover another nitro in my shop. (I got lucky with the truggy. I don't think "how'd that get here would work

  • It must be burning a lot of fuel. Nice attempt but the sound is annoying.

  • Too Rich

  • what kind of cooling do u use??

  • i had a a nitro drifter and it over heated real fast because of not a lot of wind cooling it how do u keep these from over heating

  • there is some serious torque

  • How is this shit fun?

  • @337corsm If you have to ask...

  • @spoonrodney Best reply lmfao

  • @337corsm Because it is. There's your answer, retard.

  • sounds lean

  • awesome car, what´s your gear ratio? i´ve been planning to convert my nitro truck into a crawler.

  • @Tiitus12 The overall gear ratio of the truck is about 400-1. Slow enough to crawl but with 20k revs, in 2nd gear its about walking pace.

  • why nitro? jw

  • I think you must be heating serious ???

    Good vid though !

  • I think nitro crawlers are 100% more realistic! It seems those electric (scale) crawlers are just tinker toys-this is a hobby grade crawler! NICE!!

  • Honestly-I think I'll build a nitro crawler instead of an electric-looks a ton more realistic than some electric thing chirpin and jumpin all over the place!-Nice work!

  • poor little engine, can i have it, i need a new one for my mini mgt LOL...JK...nice vid

  • @xXTaNodel408Xx How did your mini MGT engine hold up. The cooling head is crap cause the glow plug threads stripped and cooling fins cracked cause of cheap metal...I threw in a Hot Bodies .26 however.

  • Man, that's so badass!!!!!! Great job man, been reading the build thread on rccrawler.

  • are you able to reverse ?

  • where is the exaust pipe

  • @Joelepp13 In your butt. Jkjk, idk.

  • man that a thing would chew some fuel wouldnt it

  • No more than a normal nitro

  • for crawlers????

your clutch bell and shoes are gonna burn out pretty soon.

  • Yeah thanks for that, I have run about a gallon through this truck and the clutch is still fine. Have a read of the build thread and take into consideration the gear ratio but hey what do I know, I only built the thing.

  • Oh sorry, didn't know too much info about your build :)

but keep the clutch in mind ;)

  • How does it brake on a hill? Also on the engine?

  • i think your engine is too rich!

  • subbed^^

  • The engine is cooled by a micro fan. I dont have a temp gun but i never burn myself on it and thats good enough for me.

  • I have a question....how is the engine cooled?

normally nitro engines are cooled by the air when u go fast....since crawlers are so slow ..how is it cooled?

    r u using a water cooled nitro engine? I

    what is the temperature?

  • how fast can it go at tops?

  • how much do they cost?

  • This one cost about £600 to put together plus a lot of custom parts that arent available off the shelf.

  • how much is that in US $

  • About $980

  • I'm impressed, only read the first page of your thread on rccrawler.

Do you know how hot she runs yet?

I'd like to see this beast in the flesh some time.

  • thats awesome

    different

  • Going that slow and runnin it that lean doesn't it overheat at all?

  • Read the other threads and all will be explained.

  • how do you keep it from overheating and where is the smoke?

  • Read the other threads and all will be explained.

  • how fast does it go

  • About 5mph tops.

  • acrually n itro rock crawlers were tyhe firsts ones that sparked the whole idea of rock crawling.

  • @jakepl4 Actually you're full of shit.

  • Sorry newb if its not up to your standards, Im sure you could do a much better job than I.

I have added some info in the description, theres a link to the thread on rccrawler.

    New vids up soon.

  • and wheres the smoke?

  • does it have reverse?

  • It has no reverse.

  • Great job! Can we have some technical details?

  • finally a nitro crawler video that's actually a nitro crawler video

past videos seem like all they are doing is using brute speed to get over obsticless

dont know if this rig can handle a very technical course though. maybe post vids of it at a comp and see how you place.

    rcc rocks

  • nnnniiiiiccceeeee. looks like you have the gearing down problem solved. maybe a little too low geared? of course thats coming from me and did i get off my butt to build one? no! so props to you man. very cool! does it have reverse? hope to see more of it

  • Yeah they are extras we will add and about the motor we thought of that there was a fan to help the cooling and it seemed to do the trick really well the motor never got to hot for running.

  • pretty cool! no drag brake to hold you on an incline though and the motor must get rather warm without any air flowing through the cooling fins. still pretty cool!

  • Nice Job dude
