Great song but this version of the audio is atrocious (not to mention half as long as the original). If you wanna pass this song to your friends, find a better sounding upload, like the one with the Substance cover.
@brkyrfaze Why's that? Is it because unlike you "she' doesn't swallow whole, stinking turds like this? If this pile of shite was by Sinitta or anyone else from the Stock, Aitken & Waterman stable, - and yes the comparison is entirely valid - you would quite rightly dismiss it for the substandard dross that it is. Now, tell me who the music snob is!
@brkyrfaze Remove the cocks from your earholes, you arse bandit. It just might improve you taste in music, although I doubt it. Btw, apologies if the commas confuse you.
Pathetically weak & those squelchy little synth brass stabs say it all really. Reminiscent of a Stock Aitken & Waterman production minus the melody! This would no doubt have been rejected by Kylie Minogue, Mel & Kim or even Sinitta! I recall accidentally selecting this on a pub jukebox & praying that nobody realised it was me! By Brotherhood, New Order had completely lost it; great cover but Bizarre love Triangle aside, barely a decent melody. Thank God, Ian Curtis wasn't around 2 hear this!
@MisAnnThorpe I'm not a big fan of this song but I like Brotherhood quite a bit. True Faith and 1963 came after it so no, I don't think they completely lost it. I also think Technique is a very good album. Run 2 is one of my favourite songs... EVER. The only song I don't like from that album is Mr. Disco.
foxxin brillant band, the mutts nutts, proud to be from manchester, what more can i say, they should return all of them and show oasis and take that., who's the daddy
when i first heard this song was on a tape i recorded back in 86'. i still have the tape. i never heard of the movie not until few years later. after that i bought the 12in vynil. great tune.
This song is awesome! Thank God for the film "Pretty in Pink", as this song was played in the background when Jonathan Cryer's "Ducky" character was riding his bicycle. Again, freaking awesome....!!!
He's doing pretty well with "Two and a Half Men", starring him and Charlie Sheen. Who'd of ever thought he still be in the lime-light, OVER Molly Ringwald (one time teen sensation, and star of Pretty in Pink) lol.... ;)
I know lol, I wrote that before that show was up and running though. I'm happy for Molly, but I just can't seem to grasp her as a mother though. Everytime I see her I keep flashing back to "Sixteen Candles", waiting for Jake Ryan to suddenly make an appearance.... ;)

I always heard this was a remix on Substance. Wonder if there really is an original out there.
LivinWorstNightmare 11 months ago
@LivinWorstNightmare I'm pretty sure the Substance version is the "original" full-length 12" version.
This is the 7" single edit/re-recording.

New Order contributed so much of the sound that I love about music. Ian Curtis would have been proud, not that New Order needs his approval.
