  • I always heard this was a remix on Substance. Wonder if there really is an original out there.

  • @LivinWorstNightmare I'm pretty sure the Substance version is the "original" full-length 12" version.

This is the 7" single edit/re-recording.

  • I wil be always preffering Joy Divison

  • I prefer Joy Division

  • @ramsesxv you're a twat

  • It's never enough until your "hop scotch" beating!!! Grainy ass sound and video... Ugh!

  • the lousy sound quality ruins it. great song anyway

  • Best song off of Pretty in Pink!

  • hearing this takes me back instantly to the 80's...dancing the night away, sweat pouring off my body and drunk on life...damn, I loved the 80's!!!

  • Straight Money!

  • which album of theirs is this from?

  • @leisurelydinner It's not really from one but it was released around the album Low-Life (which is their best album). It's on substance

  • I can see Duckie pulling a wheelie on his bike. 'I don't drink and drive; that's why I ride a bike' !!!

  • Great song but this version of the audio is atrocious (not to mention half as long as the original). If you wanna pass this song to your friends, find a better sounding upload, like the one with the Substance cover.

  • LOVE IT THANKS

  • wow these guys got so high spirited since the lead singer left...Just goes to show, sometimes to elevate moral just get rid of the depressed people

  • Never knew there was a video for this song - or maybe I forgot about it...

  • MisAnnThorpe is one of those YouTube music snob cunts.

  • @brkyrfaze Why's that? Is it because unlike you "she' doesn't swallow whole, stinking turds like this? If this pile of shite was by Sinitta or anyone else from the Stock, Aitken & Waterman stable, - and yes the comparison is entirely valid - you would quite rightly dismiss it for the substandard dross that it is. Now, tell me who the music snob is!

  • @MisAnnThorpe Eat a bag of dicks.

  • @brkyrfaze Remove the cocks from your earholes, you arse bandit. It just might improve you taste in music, although I doubt it. Btw, apologies if the commas confuse you.

  • ahhhhh this song is amazing <3333 greattttt '80s song!! :D

  • LOVE NEW ORDER!!!

  • New Order contributed so much of the sound that I love about music. Ian Curtis would have been proud, not that New Order needs his approval.

  • Pathetically weak & those squelchy little synth brass stabs say it all really. Reminiscent of a Stock Aitken & Waterman production minus the melody! This would no doubt have been rejected by Kylie Minogue, Mel & Kim or even Sinitta! I recall accidentally selecting this on a pub jukebox & praying that nobody realised it was me! By Brotherhood, New Order had completely lost it; great cover but Bizarre love Triangle aside, barely a decent melody. Thank God, Ian Curtis wasn't around 2 hear this!

  • @MisAnnThorpe I think your being a wee bit harsh there.

  • @MisAnnThorpe You like Scott Walker though, that changes everything. You walk on water in fact !!!!

  • @MisAnnThorpe I'm not a big fan of this song but I like Brotherhood quite a bit. True Faith and 1963 came after it so no, I don't think they completely lost it. I also think Technique is a very good album. Run 2 is one of my favourite songs... EVER. The only song I don't like from that album is Mr. Disco.

  • I love this song but boy those vocals sail close to the wind :/

  • what album is this on? i know its not on substance well it is but its the John Robie mix and i dont want that

  • CLASSIC breakup tune---

  • @mmykiee

It isn't a break up song.

  • the song is on itunes on the pretty in pink soundtrack

  • I didn't remember this song being on Pretty in Pink, but I just watched it again for the first time in 20 years- and it sure is.

  • tnx

i havent been able to download this track but now at least i have the video :]

  • DUCKIE!!

  • this is a great song...Makes me think of Pretty in Pink :)

  • great

  • Shabanu, bless you son,i last heard this '87.

  • Goddammit, can someone please post the full version? The cut version sucks.

  • they had 2 songs used in that movie!!!!!!!!

  • This song is awesome! Thank God for the film "Pretty in Pink", as this song was played in the background when Jonathan Cryer's "Ducky" character was riding his bicycle. Again, freaking awesome....!!!

  • DUcky is the man... i wonder if he ever actually got a piece of ass... they shoulda gave him his own movie

  • He's doing pretty well with "Two and a Half Men", starring him and Charlie Sheen. Who'd of ever thought he still be in the lime-light, OVER Molly Ringwald (one time teen sensation, and star of Pretty in Pink) lol.... ;)

  • Actually Molly is on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She plays the mother of a pregnant teen. It's on ABC Family.

  • I know lol, I wrote that before that show was up and running though. I'm happy for Molly, but I just can't seem to grasp her as a mother though. Everytime I see her I keep flashing back to "Sixteen Candles", waiting for Jake Ryan to suddenly make an appearance.... ;)

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

  • tomaba redondas en los 90'

  • Why did they cut out so much of the song? That blows.

  • New Order rules

  • love this song.

  • Right! It's never enough, until your heart stops beating!

  • I love the cd version better, but thank you for the upload!

    :)

  • awesome super song.

  • This song always reminds me of Pretty In Pink. It's my favourite New Order song - I absolutely love the 12" version which I still have on vinyl!!

  • great song...shitty video...

    new order rules

  • One of their best. The video does not do the song justice. The cd version is longer and has a better arrangement.

  • Much shorter than it has any right to be.
