@wowerman I sold these over a year ago and just left this video up because of how many views it had.....they were a terrible product that had very little support from Denon. I use Technics and Traktor Scratch, they are by far the best set up possible for an authentic DJ feel and set up. Don't buy these if you have a choice!
@kesas77 i'd agree with you the point, if want 100% vinyl feel (USE VINYL!), but the denon 3700's are amazing player's, - i mix soulul house, and found them enjoyable and very tight & fluid to mix with (i use them in cdj mode with the platter not spinning)
and definatly much better made than pioneer CDJ800 & CDJ1000's
@gabberinohardcore canon sd 780 best camera i have ever owned especially when you figure in the cost being so reasonable. the hd video recording is fantastic also, just get a bigger memory stick and extra battery then you are set.
@kesas77 ok thank you. I like do video on disco, but I have a bad camera because the sound is distorted, and I'm searching a Video/Camera that could record on high quality sound without distorting and It can record at low light. ;)
@gabberinohardcore ok thank you. I like do video on disco, but I have a bad camera because the sound is distorted, and I'm searching a Video/Camera that could record on high quality sound without distorting and It can record at low light. ;)
@gabberinohardcore canon SD-780 great camera with all you need just get a large memory stick and you are good to go.. as you can see they come out with great quality. cost is around 175 if you find a deal
nice gear! i'm thinking of switching my djm800 with a xone. i can see there are two types: the 92 and 92r. the 92r has the rotary knobs and the 92 the faders, which i'm used to. does the 92r got more features than the 92? what are the pro's of having an r?
the rotary knobs give the mixer a great feel and smooth transitions for spinning house/trance/tech house beats. if you spin, hip hop they are not ideal for fast transitions. But if you are in the electronic music genre, they are well worth the money. You can also get a rotary kit for your djm 800, which might be a good option also. you will be happy regardless, but the rotary are butter!!
thx! for sure i want to go for an a&h because i just love the sound and the filter. i'm used to the faders so it's a difficult choice for me because i've never tried the rotaries and it's a lotta $ and the difference between 92/92r is 200$. i'm into techhouse / smooth mixing.
did u also experience the 4d? i'm only spinning vinyl (and won't make a step to digital like scratch or cd's), but i want to produce now and i'm looking, but i'm a total noob on the digital part.
I own the 4d now and the only thing I miss about the 92 is the rotary faders. you are right, there is nothing like the analogue filters on the 4d and the 92....they are the best!! the sound card and all in one design of the 4d kicks ass though. I am an ableton user myself as well.
Hi, have you tried using the USB port yet? If so how do you like it? I'm a serato user myself and I'm used to looking at my folder tree and all of my music in front of me. I don't know if I can used to navigating thru a USB flash drive.
usb ports work well on these units as well as the cdj 2000s which I own now. Only issue with denons MM software is that it's not MAC compatible. Do you have TT's now or a MIDI controller? If you have TT's, I would go with the new Serato designed controllers and stay with the laptop.
to make you wonder why....i just got the denons and was showing the features. doesnt really matter anyway since my cdj 2000s and djm 800 will be here in 2 weeks!!
well first of all, Denon MM software is not Mac OS compatible. firmware updates are weak, and BPM counters are terrible. Pio's did not miss a trick and they are the best for a reason. Denon did not prepare well for the launch of this product and it shows. The 2000's do it all, so they are on the way!
what about the 800's? I tested out both the 800s, and the s3700. they both seems great, but im leaning more towards the 800s. its hard to pick...you think this is a good choice?
also, the biggest trade off I see (if I get the 800s) is that I'll be missing out the the fx features the denon has, and the midi and usb options. Those are the two big factors I see as a trade off... so you think i should go with pioneer 800's?
If you are going to use the 3700's for MIDI control, they would not be bad and a good value for the money. But if you are a Mac user and are looking for the actual functionality of these decks....then stay away. But I am not the biggest fan of the 800's either. I am going to tell you this, major online retailers are cutting deals right now on the 900's and the 2000's. You can get the new CDJ's for 20% off if you shop it hard. I got my 2000's for $1359!! get the new 900s! not either of those
thanks for the input, thats a good deal u got their.
I can get the 800's for $578 and the denon s3700 for $759
I think the cheapest I saw for the 1000s r around $1200 somethin like that. so yea, you defiantly got a good deal. If I can get a CDJ under $800 rite now ill buy it.
maybe I should also mention im gettin a behringer mixer ($109). I think the fx would make up for the ones the denon cdj has. both of them were fun 2 play on. Obviously nothin will beat the pioneer mixer I tested though!
if your in the 500 dollar range the 800's are a good buy...but if your going to spend 1500 on the Denons you might as well spend 2000 on the 900's. also are you PC user or Mac user? The denon's are not MAC friendly so beware....that is a BIG deal to me.
ur an idiot if your choosing djm 800 over the best mixer in the world fact xone 92 no mixer can compare with it fact and choosing cdj2000 over than piece of beauty is just crazy
That wouldn't be the case because I sold the xone 92 four months ago and own the Xone 4D now. And yes it is crazy and yes I act irrationally, but I have enough money to buy what I want and sell it anytime for something else. This is my hobby and that's what I do. Hell, I may just by the xone 92 again after this is all said and done. Guess what....I could care less what you think because it's my money, my gear and my hobby. Thanks for the comment though....and you are probably right. LOL
Unfortunately I have just moved on myself, I upgraded to the Xone 4D.....its amazing and it will do anthing!! I personally would wait for the right deal on the 92, it has too much to offer and you will have it forever.
Xone 92 it is, then! That thing is just too sweet not to get. The 4D is out of my price range, but the 92 is a brute. I'm also getting the same decks. How have they been? Any issues? Can you compare them to the Pioneers? It seems these decks are way better value and are newer... :)
They are without a doubt a better value, I have really enjoyed them and they flat out perform. My only complaint is that the denon music manager software is not Mac Compatible. I am disappointed and hope they make a change soon. This is really the key to opening the full programing and set planning piece of this tool. I do however really recommend them to anyone, they are fantastic.
ll xone mixers are world class the best of the best i have the 92 and its the best mixer u can buy but 62 is also brill and xone mixer and u will be happy fact

is vinyl and ableton with own productions well combinable with the 4d? or is the 4d only useful when ur fully digitalized?
i'm about to use ableton too and i'm thinking about logic (or would u choose only one of them?)
do u know for example mathew jonson or extrawelt? what would they use for productions? (because i want to make that kinda music too! ;) )
scuse me for my noobness.
