I sailed in one of these raggatas and I would have to say that in the line of childrens boat this one tops most of the other choices. The opti for example u have to bail and it has the divider were the centerboard goes down. also the rigerous task of getting back in after capsizing.
Sailing Optimist until you are 15 and then changing to 29er or Laser 4.7 or Europe dinghy is Best.Open bics are shitty

The O''pen BIC is now an international ISAF class, Only one other jr boat has the same recognition. That one was designed 60 years ago...
