Sice this video was made I sold off the two blue power cars and have since managed to obtain a full 6 car one in the reverse Grey blue colours. The unit features in my last video of 2007 which was posted a couple of weeks ago. The whole thing cost me about £120 in all and I have since converted it to DCC running.
It's called.. ludicrous prices on eBay for Pullman centre cars! Watch though.... because I intend to adapt some Mk2 coaches to match. Hope you enjoyed the vid. Was Taken in January. The garden loos quite different now we are in June
Terrible choice of team - even though you were the first to beat us at Emirates - but a fantastic layout. I have a railway like this in my dreams. Your 50 + mk2s rake really looks the real thing. Must be great fun.
I have nothing else to use unfortunately, and I wanted to give the motor bogie a test which I had just restored. Centre coaches are hard to come by and reach silly prices on eBay. I will probably go for the new Hornby ones when they are released even though they are not strictly the right coaches.
its a major pity none of the blue pullmans we're preserved, my brother works for fm rail, and i think that they should of repainted two class 43 's to go with the mk 2's
I'm (unfortunately) old enough to remember the Blue Pullmans and yes I agree it was a waste not to preserve even just one power car.I don't think the livery would have suited a 125 power car though.. in my view the best livery for those is the one they were born with in 1976
They are actually Airfix BR Mk2d coaches. The coaches still run on the line but the Pullman is no longer on my railway

I see you have 1938 Underground Stock. Is this motorised? If so, where can I purchase these from?
suki9533 2 years ago
It is motorised yes.. it is an EFE model (Exclusive First Editions) Try googling the word metromodels and you will see where you can obtain them.

Why are you using intercity coaches with the Blue Pullman? Nothing wrong with it, just curious.
