Guys, if you are trying to update this with a USB 1.1 port, you will have problems. I found out the hard way. Luckily, I have 2 computers and the other has some USB 2.0 ports. You MUST have them for the restore to work.

when i choose iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore ,it extracts it, then it starts to restore but then a message pops up saying "The Ipod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (5)."

is there by any chance the people that it did work for, if u used 7.5 instead of the latest 7.6?

Error 5 means that you have a corrupted firmware file. You must redownload the file in order to bypass that error.

The only way I got the phone to turn off is to hold the power button + the home button for like 15 seconds

Once is off, press and hold the HOME button then plug in the USB cable to your computer, keep holding the HOME button the whole time.

4. Next it should put a Yellow Triangle on your iphone and it should say "connect to itunes".

5. Now restore your phone, and you should be GOOD TO GO!
