@71montecarlo454ss That's what has been confusin' us, it's so weird, it has all the SS package without the air shocks or the 454, but that 350 is the same engine that dad got in it & he got it from a woman who bought it new, she told him that she didn't do anything to it includin' a engine swap

man that monte is bad ass i got a 70 monte carlo in gold with 427 4 speed standard an im only 15 it was my uncles in the 1990's he sold and i bought from an auto wreckers and didnt even no it use to be my uncles car he was happy.

Straight pipes on a muscle car is redneck. Don't get me wrong, I think they sound great on trucks, just not cars. Put a good cam, nice headers and some flowmasters, then you'll get a good basic aggressive sound.

Yeah, Really nice choices in cars : ) i love 70-72 Monte Carlos and am tryin to find one to get for round 3k and im thinking about getting a nice motor and everything for it so i can run it :D Do you know of any good deep and/or throaty exhausts for a stock 72 monte carlo w/ the stock motor in it??? im looking for a nice type of exhaust for one that is has like a DEEP ROAR to it and some what throaty to an extent i want it to sound mean but not too loud and raspy. please msg back : )...

hey, many people make stock location exhaust systems for A-body Chevy, even Jegs makes up to a 3" which is what I have on mine, with flowmaster delta force mufflers. The flowmasters, even quieter ones definitely have the sound I think you want.
