You have a great sound...maybe they did not pick you because you played with a Bb...

This is an outrage! You should be one of the trumpet players going to Sydney! I watched the other videos and they weren't nearly as good as you! Your audition was amazing! I really can't believe you didn't get in!

@slothfat Thanks for the kind words man.... yeah, only 2 of the 12 trumpet finalists actually deserved to go to Sydney & I'm so glad that they both made it.... like I said before, apparently YTSO just wanted to have a SOFT composition of players in all sections, not just Trumpet :(

@aquarto717 Thanks for the kind words Tony! I was surprised to do it in 1 breath too! ^_^ Unfortunately they didn't take me -- the YTSO team preferred to take people who played incorrect notes, rhythms, and articulations.. i.e. half of the 12 trumpet finalists played the WRONG VERSION of the Ballerina Dance! I also didn't hear a single Mahler performance that showed more dynamic contrast then mine, especially at the fortissimo part :(

Oh well - I gave it my all and that's all I can do! Thx bud!
