  • He was dead 6 years before I was even an idea for a name picked from a baby book. But I can honestly say I miss John Lennon. Our souls may not have existed at the same time but I truly believe I would be an even better person if he were still around. Miss you John. Awesome song by the way.

  • rip you beautiful man

  • After all these years ... I still miss John very much.

  • ah. To be THAT in love! Wouldn't that be something?

  • Remember Troy Davis!

  • @rbc122 Never never ever forget...A friend was doing a documentary on Troy and got to see him ,his last day...A horrible travesty of justice

  • Even though I consider John to be my "Third Favorite Beatle", this song is one of the best Beatles solo efforts ever. Definitely needs to be heard by more people...

  • What`s wrong with some pointed discourse about what is itself a political song? So long as we dont attack each other; this is a song that compels us to think about the role of state and the economic and political establishment. Free people means free to live life without excessive political interference or economic greed. John would certainly have agreed with this.

  • CHILDREN OF MEN

  • I am all about Freedom........I wish more people new about this song......Long Live John Lennon

  • It's a shame that this song is unknown to the wider public, outside of John's fans. This is the kind of song everyone needs to hear.

  • Dedicated to Felipe Calderón; in Mexico!!!!!

  • Perhaps a message for states in the Middle East these days; but it is also something for the US/UK and many others

  • Bring on the lucie (watch my videos)

  • What a song!

  • Such a beautiful montage of photos. Thank you so much. We love and miss you John Lennon.

  • Free Julian Assange!

  • One person (ONE!) 'dislikes' this video... hahaha!

  • Just very powerful song (message).

  • WE NEED TO LINE UP AND SING THIS SONG TO OUR OWN GOVERNMENT AND THE CROOKED BANKING SYSTEM, HEALTH CARE SYSTEM AND FOOD INDUSTRY "WE WANT OUR FUCKIN' COUNTRY BACK!!!

not sure if we should line the White House with guns or not, the song kinda goes against that, but the "Huey" in says we should!!!

  • @blkstarsapient some people In London, England did that (The democracy village) and most of them got arrested and such.

AND THEY CALL THEMSELVES A DEOMCRACY

    but yeah good idea man

  • i think lennons messages are timeless -- but sure is that some societies do not wanna be freed or have a different view of freedom --

i wonder what lennon would have said about the claim for "freedom to wear burka"???

  • @MoveOverCasanova I think Lennon may have answered that one with a song.

Search " Lennon woman is the Nigger of the World" on Youtube

  • amazing song, truly one of John's best

  • An awesome, inspirational song that is just as relevant today as it was when it was first recorded. RIP John!

  • Free the people - Stop the Killing - Do it - Do it now

  • This song is anti-Illuminati. People back then didn't know what he was talking about, but this generation does. This song is beyond government corruption. It's about corruption the world over.

  • FREE DA PEOPLE!!! FREDA PEOPLE!!!

  • John Lennon is a man of peace and for ever he'll say it to the human race: give peace a chance. So, if you want to know the real Lennon and the crest of his soul you gotta listen songs like Old Dirt Road, It's So hard, Isolation, Remember.

  • LET MY PEOPLE GO!!!!!!!

  • @treesaver321 But I haven't got them!

  • great song

  • anti-abortion????? What are you talking about? It's about human beings on this planet who are already here under the thumb of invading, murdering governments...

  • The first Anti-abortion song.

  • The first Anti-abortion song.

  • Hola TORTITA!!!!!!!!!

  • When John sang about government leaving people the heck alone, I doubt he envisioned a government that controlled the banks, automakers and threatened to throw people in jail for not having healthcare. Do you think John would have supported Obama for sending more troops to Afghanistan? It's ridiculous to think it's all about those "evil" Republicans. WAKE UP NEO!

  • @ToMegaTherion718, The problem is that u have it ass backwards, it is the banks, financial sector, pharmaceutical & health care companies that control the gov't. Not the other way around.

When the US gov't is more inclined 2 give welfare 2 corporations & the judicial system 2 give corporations rights that even citizen have in limitation there is a fundamental problem.

The media represents the "Tea Party" as a grass roots movement! Like the billions in secret corporate funding were grass root.

  • @302MarkVII

Have to ask my local Tea Party where our corp funding is. No doubt there are groups that would love to control us, I'm doing my part to keep it honest, and focussed. I believe in Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. If Adam and Steve want to get married, that's cool. If you want to smoke a joint on your front porch when you get home from work, that's all right with me too. Want to pat me down, search me without a warrant? "F" that! End the Patriot Act! Ron Paul 2012!

  • @ToMegaTherion718 Don't bother asking. "Citizens United" (Court Case) eliminated all mandatory disclosure, so corporations had free reign to pump $ into whatever interests they saw fit without anyone knowing, the Tea Party fit the bill. Why do you think all these conservative campaign finance machines outspent Dems 10 to 1? These weren't $5 contributions from Joe Citizen. On the other side Obama tried adhering to his ideals by sticking to his disclosed small contributions from '08 NAIVE.

  • love you johnxxxalwasy xxxxxbrilliant song xxbabs

  • Because the republicans like Nixon hated him he had to die. He had too much influence on people and challenged the right-wing's utter bullshit. Deportation wasn't going to work.....

  • Err, he died because a psycho thought he had become a phony and a hypocrite and decided that he deserved to be killed.

  • Coincidence that his killer, RFK's, Reagan's assassin and Marilyn Monroe all had the same psychologist with ties to the CIA? I can see you did some homework. You're right. Keep up the good work, can't get one by you! Thanks.

  • Because the people that hate Reagan also hate Marilyn Monroe. Of course! It all makes sense now! roflmao

  • I agree my friend. Look at history: everyone who told us to live together in love and harmony got killed. Hence why Lennon is dead and that greedy "phony" and "hypocrite" McCartney is alive.....

  • Controlled pycho.

    mk ultra

  • Classic:) Nice:) The best:) Why he had to die so early? :´/ Je to super song... :´)
