does it really matter how expensive the ring is as long as you are in love? The ring is just an outward symbol of your decision... it doesn't make the proposal. As long as the ring wont fall apart on me I'm good.
That's what I think, my brother got his now fiance a ring with a nice respectable diamond but she didn't like the set (the ring it was in), she wasn't proud of it and seemed kinda peeved that he didn't consult her and acted like it wasn't good enough. I wanted to slap her.
