Haha, toll dass du den Film hier reingestellt hast - ich kann mich noch erinnern, dass ich die Mischung der Handlungsorte schon früher interessant fand und wie oft lief der Film wohl im TV...ich kann mich an einmal erinnern....

It's based on the Brothers Grimm Tale "The Musicians of Bremen". I've watched the English version of this, SEVERAL times (which the whole of is now available on Youtube, yippee!) and it is one of my favourite animated films. If you like animation and animals, I DEFINITELY recommend it.

I mean no offense when I say this; but just watching the first part of this movie I can now tell, why this is one of the few films that WB didn't want to released in North America.

It was just a matter of censorship. Although there is real no difference, to any of the past films released by Disney, FOX, WB, etc.

This Dog have 2 face.

Normaly he is in inteligence and singing mode, but his tail is like button changing him to agresive battle mode.

Nice.

Good news! I've managed to find a (presumably) English version of the movie on Amazon UK. Unfortunately, it's only on VHS. I don't even know if it's been edited as well (hopefully it isn't), but if you've been looking for an English version, I'd say that's the best place to find it. Hope this helps. =)
