The news caster already starts with "Double Talk" by stating "It was an atmospheric occurrence. . . but is it a UFO?" Asking someone what they think it is and to give a 1950's explanation. I agree that all they needed to do was to get info of when there was any weather gauging experiments, but that would give more clues to what it is not, rather than creating more mystery to it. Maybe they'll say those are flares that don't move, round helicopters that don't make sounds, swamp gas from pipeline

Pt.1 reply: A friend and I were driving out in the rural area of NE Montana, and saw that EXACT same thing last Friday night around 8:45PM. It just sat there very bright and changed colors (red then green in 30 second intervals). We started at it for about 10 minutes. It wasn't a weather balloon, as this launches from our airport at 5:30PM, and it wasn't an incoming airplane because the trajectory for incoming flights was incorrect.

PT.2 REPLY: Also, the altitude was to high for landing gear to be down. We watched for long enough that we knew it wasn't moving straight at us(airplane). We then decided to move to a friends house across the dam. When came up the other side of the ridge 5-7 minutes later, it was gone.
