Not even close to 250mph. Race cars like this have very short gearing for fast acceleration... As well, the downforce created by the wings and splitter would not allow it to go that fast.

In the end it probably tops around the 180 mph range, which is what a GT race car needs to be around for good acceleration.

actually this car was track tested at i believe 242 mph-- the twin supercharged big block v8 can push this carbon fiber body over 200 just fine

No, the CCGT is a race car built per FIA GT regulations... It does not have a twin supercharged engine and as I said before, it will not go to 242mph because it's not necessary nor achievable due to the short gearing and the aerodynamic downforce.

You have it mixed up with another model.

An engine like the konigsegg needs to warm up before it'll run nicely.

This ones most likely come straight from the factory in a lorry and never driven a mile in its life - most cars need a few miles on the clock before they'll be at their best.

You would think someone driving a supercar like this would know how to work a clutch, and know that a high compression engine needs time to warm up before you can get it to run strong under low rpm's. Just saying.

Try to drive a car with twin clutch plates made to handle 800hp at 200+ mph. engines with valves that big, are not met to rev that low and the guy cant rev too much or the car will jump. The guy I doing a hell of a job, driving a car with such an unbearable clutch.

@RocketBurn11 he does know. its just that racecars are a bitch to drive at low speeds. went to a car show today and there were cascar race cars there and one guy was trying to park one in a small space with people around and he stalled about 6 times. every time he let the clutch out a little bit the car would jump to about 30 km/h.

wow n00bs. This thing had insane displacement, and they have it set up so the pistons just barely catch and make it over TDC for each revolutiuon. You hear the same sound with high speed powerboats yes? same principle. That's why you hear the fluttering "wet" noise from the exhaust.

This is the CC GT - that's the FIA "GT1" category race car. It has a roll cage and is built to race spec. Not to be confused with the production road cars Koenigsegg make. That's also why it's tricky to drive around with a race clutch.

yea its a similar engine set up as boats by Fountain, Donzi, Scarab etc. Large displacement with the pistons firing damn near bottom dead centre of the bore and over sized cam valves. Same principle with Harley motorcycles. The down side obviously is that because of where the pistons are being fired so low, the engine is more prone to stalling.
