une passion de 40 ans me lie à Peter hammill, artiste hors pair, un homme hors du commun...dans son océan discographique, il est difficile de faire des choix.Je commence par "the future now' chanson de rage,de revolte, d'espoir...au texte admirable ( site : sofa sound ) il l'a chantée des centaines de fois, toujours differemment.il y a dans cette version comme une immense energie qui sort de sa voix, on n'est plus dans le spectacle on est dans l'incarnation...

Being a Hammill fan since I was fifteen, this has always been a favourite... ectually, I have (inadequately, I'm sure) tried to do this song accompanied by 'only' church organ.

What it also brings to mind is a third encore at the 'Stopera' builing in Amstredam, where Peter simply put the microphone aside, to fill the hall without any amplification or instrument...!

That was 'Chicago' (from Fripp's 'Exposure')... brilliant!

It's true, Hammill means a lot to people here in Greece, his concerts are attended with an almost religious devotion and dedication every time he comes. I've seen audiences watch him in absolute silence, as if being in a church.

@ucsasmh He was known in stage theater because he wrote some stuff for older rock operas. The Who has some similar style during their Tommy album. People see this as a bit fem but David Bowie Ziggy has an element of this in it.
