What´s displayed here is a form of capoeira called "regional" this was developed long after the slaves were freed in Brasil + to my knowledge capoeira did not play a big part in the emancipation of Africans in Brazil.

Capoeira Regioal is a mix of the original form or Capoeira together with movements an techniques from eastern Martial Arts.
