@pikefisherman3 - My Dad caught a 18lb 1oz, 35 inch Male Kamloops Rainbow out of Okanagan Lake in British Columbia Many years ago.....that was his pride and joy and the ultimate catch for him :-)

Wrong Triploid fish are not genetically engineered, Triploid is a type of anueploidy coused by chromosome non-disjunction, it can be caused naturally, although these fish where indeed farm raised, i can almost guarantee you that a karyotype of the fish you speek off will also show that it was triploid, Not all triploid trout are product of humans, some do occur naturally.

It was 45" long and had a 25" girth, as well as a marked kype - almost certainly a spawning capable fish. At the very least, the Kispiox fish was born and raised in the wild - not an aquacultural by-product.

In the big sceem of things you caught a record rainbow in a trout pond.. RIGHT,, they were pellet fed farmed rainbow ..right,, farmed ,,,not wild,, try great lakes or up north or somewhere other then a big trout pond
The only records that really matter are IGFA records.
On that note, the trout in this video appear healthy and thriving. No trout grows to that proportion without eating meat and Rainbows, wild or not are predators. Hooking and bringing one home is celebration enough.
i don't think that it would have been that great of meat to eat when they get that big, unless you smoked it. and i totally believe that that is 20+ pounds, i have caught 28 inch rainbows on flies that were 18 pounds. great video guys, i wish i had a brother not 2 sisters or a friend that likes to fish
