I just saw John tonight in Columbus Ohio, when I heard this song for the first time it was me, my feelings. I am going out tomorrow and find this CD I have to have this song.
One of the most Beautiful songs I have ever heard. John, you are GREAT man, I closed my eyes a couple times tonight and thought I was back in the early 80's, you were AWESOME!!

I saw John Mellencamp in '83 at Maple Leaf Gardens, best show I ever saw until ACDC in '03 at Downsview (Sars Concert). My wife knew he was my favourite artist and in early'07 we saw hime at the ACC. He performed this song and my wife was hooked. I told her that "he was always an awesome songwriter and performer"

This was incredibly cool. Nice to see that his fans support him like that. When you're all alone up there with nothing to hide you're very vulnerable. This clip kinda choked me up a bit. So much love for the guy. I think he wiped a tear away at the very end...

I must have saw at least 60 concert of all sorts, but when i heard this song in concert for the first itme it really got too me. Great lyrics.

This show was well worth the problems we had even getting to NYC. Heck, John's reaction to Rhonda's scream made the whole trip worth it!
