Before there was Angelina Jolie in Salt, there was Tamara Dobson as Cleopatra Jones. None of the so called mainstream black organizations - NAACP, ESSENCE AWARD, etc paid any tribute or recognition to this beautiful,talented and elegant woman (Tamara Dobson) who became the first black woman to star in a leading role in a major successful action film. As incredible as this is to believe, it speak volume to the short memory spanned black people suffer from. No black actress has duplicated her.
