I agree with you for bands doing original material but this a tribute band whose only purpose is to recreate the music of The Doors as authentically as possible. It would be silly and disappointing to hear them changing the lyrics, melodies and using different beats and chord changes, to say the least!

All members of this band are also active doing original music so the two methods of performing are not mutually exclusive.
