  • this is in Brit I know because they are using Brit words and metric but the data is right.in metric 40cm is 39/2 feet long

  • 2:32 - best job in the world ...

  • Six iron and one stick seem much easier.

  • nice

  • Canadian narrator...I didn't realize polar bears needed rails.

  • Recycling at work, people.

  • ya my wife the other day... rail comes by (pause) ... shes a bitch

  • hehe, rim :D

  • Yes,but will it blend?

  • I like to watch How it's made one after the other until i look at the clock and noticed i just burned away like half an hour.

  • She has a subtle Canadian accent. Canadian show after all.

  • 0:50 , Geonosis droid factory.

  • 1:30 *poke* FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • What they don't mention is that about 4-5% of all rails are made of recycled terminator metal.

  • That's not true, the wheel rim is only a secondary means of keeping the wheels on the track. The primary method is the wheel is cut at an angle and so the wheels "float" between the properly gauged rails. That's why solid train axels can go around a curve.....the wheel sets ride out on the inside wheel where the diameter is slightly smaller and ride in on the outside wheel where the wheel is slightly larger. The outside of the curve has farther to go than the inside of the curve.

  • @JetMechMA No need to be a smart ass. Just stfu and watch the vid.

  • @TNTPonies SEIG HEIL !

  • I looked down at the rails in our town and it said Made in Japan. What's there to be proud of in that?

  • last to comment is an idiot!!!

  • HOT!

  • 2:29 .... so.... do you know any jokes or anything?

  • rail inspectors really earn their keep dont they.

  • Cool!

  • my 2 new goals in my life are to become a hobo and then work my up or perhaps down to be rail inspector

  • Some people watch trains go by. But they watch rails go by :D

  • I can't believe thats a real job! I would die of boredom!

  • 2:37 .. nice job xD

  • interesting.

  • It all started with 1 "how it's made" video... now I've lost 2 hours of work... FUUUUU

  • lol i got here from a train model making video

  • I'm watching this instead of plaing BF3.

  • the narrator is Canadian

  • why the hell am i watching this...smh

  • @chaderotti yeah, and his teachers were paid $30,000 a year, and they obviously didn't do their job. I agree with HaoWenXiang...

  • 00:27 how do the magnets not attract or repel eachother :\

  • WTF BS I bet they gett paid $10.00+ juzt 2 stair @ that mirror 2...

  • @707BLACKDEVIL707 I'll bet they get paid upwards of $25 - $30.00 an hour to sit there all day. Greedy union bastards.

  • @MrMKH2010 Meanwhile, the Chinese laborer is the epitome of the unquestioning, unimaginative, and expendable employee toiling for half a day for little pay, and living life completely on company property and living in company dorms, their entire existence to send meager wages back to the family in the countryside. Now THAT'S how you live the life of a blue collar worker. Americans should be more like the hard working Chinese people.

  • @HaoWenXiang I couldn't agree more. That and there's the stuck-upness of the German's we should imitate, and also we could learn a thing or two from Roman expansionism.

  • @HaoWenXiang You mean Communist China?

  • @HaoWenXiang Hey now, A union is a good thing. It starts from your coworkers with the most attitude of workload vs. pay. And want to demand a better wage for living conditions. If that the Chinese did that. They would win their right...eventually. After going through a few generations of hardship. Happened to black people. Let's face it, if it wasn't for their slaved forefathers, their black asses would be starving in Africa right now.

  • @HaoWenXiang con't...The problem is population. Too many of you fuckers. Why would a Chinese CEO want to pay YOU more when there's maybe a 100 outside equally poor willing to do it. I think the real solution right now, is for China to have a good Civil War. Until then, it's going to stay where it is.

  • @707BLACKDEVIL707 why complain when you have a horrendous use of english?

  • you know damn well they sit there and bullshit all day...and get paid to do it...unless they hate each other...but i doubt it...

  • what an awesome job it is to watch a mirror all day long. thrilling.

  • inspectors... ya thats a good one lol

  • wow they skipped a lot of this video. I don't know why the edited it so much from the original. And that's not all those two guys do for when they inspect it. Bedsides that it's boring as hell.

  • I guess the last inspection with the mirrors is for the old timers that have been working there for 40 years or so, that or the boss' son in law.

  • how do they curve it

  • @Manchergraver3456

curve the rail? they don't have to worry about that, rails are flexible enough for the big radius they make in actual track.

just push and it will flex.

  • 2:29 add a bear and tv and that job is perfect ...

wait they have to sit for 12h+ like that?? geezus.... they sleep there aswell..... geezus.... wait ? what is the job called?? lazy ass job ? niceeeeee .

what the fuck am i talking about???

  • damn! those two guys just sitting there! Union job perhaps?

  • In France they now have rails 1km long which are welded together for the TGV, there is no more clickety click noise.

  • @Iain1962

They have to be. And they must be as smooth as humanly possible. They are special rails which, if I remember right, are made in Germany.

  • 25 meters !! is this right, or is it 25 feet!!!

  • I want the job of sitting there and looking at the finished rails.

  • So cool...

  • 2:29 - wow... what an exciting job that is

  • @brettonlee I hope that's not the only thing they do in that plant. Otherwise, OMG.

  • meh, they probably make heaps of train parts.

  • @brettonlee lmao yea

  • @brettonlee lol I would go nuts. In a union shop, those kind of jobs are coveted, and only the most senior members get them. Not bad "work" for $25.00 per hour.

  • @brettonlee

hahah surprised a computer of some sort hasnt replaced them...a very boring computer

  • @brettonlee Union, probably. 25$ an hour to stare at rail eight hours a day.

  • @TheOscarBluth probably $40 an hour, 8 weeks of vacation, full retirement and medical, talk about overpaid........

  • @brettonlee ...yet so important, it cannot be trusted to a machine. A flawed piece of rail can cause a train to derail, and at high speeds that derailment can cost lives.

  • @brettonlee lol

  • @brettonlee

    Union workers workin' hard!

  • @brettonlee easy money brah

  • @brettonlee I bet they're union.

  • @brettonlee if its well paid then its one of the best jobs eva! :P sitting watching relaxing and get paid

  • @brettonlee They are the next to be replaced by robots

  • @brettonlee dudes probably make $45 an hour for that too

  • @slowpoke96Z28 you say that like $45/hour is a lot of money.

  • @circusboy90210 It's a lot of money for watching rails slide by.

  • @aluisious not really they are quality control which is very important , that still is a drop in the bucket compared to the output of the factory and is a small cost to keep people alive.

  • Comment removed

  • those inspectors' job must be the most boring job in that plant.

  • @Jezthevalley or the easiest

  • This is way harder than in minecraft 0_0

  • now THIS is cool.. :)

  • @samxf

First to comment, last to lose virginity.

  • @Semtexxxxx u mean ur ass losses virgity?
