He should searched that world to find his dog and defeat the Master Of Darkness, destroying him, escaped and reuniting with his friends. To then then amigos give Andy a ride to return back to earth. Nice way to kill my childhood. Oh and 3D Glasses are dumb then and they are dumb now. That creature never seen it once in the game, it's like that thing ruined it. Like it's a dream that you are in this world and you can't be the hero because you wake up and it just slips away. That's this game!

This isn't a stupid ending at all. It's actually pretty imaginative. The whole journey was obviously in his imagination, as the boy lives on it. The last part showing the island is meant like an epilogue.

I think this is what the ending is. The big hole he fell into is a portal to earth/his treehouse. this explains why the orange dude still has his plane in his village.The dog and the boy fell in the portal so they are back on earth/treehouse and they were on the other planet because the plane is still in the orange dude's village.

Definitely one of my favorite final boss battles ever. It's so damn epic. He fights "the darkness" for christ's sake...it's kind of hard to top something like that. Creepy as hell to boot, makes me jump whenever the hands manage to grab hold of me and take me away lol.

I remember this game being pretty fun as a kid. But MAN was the storyline terrible. Too many gaping plotholes. Like if it was just a nightmare did it randomly start during the eclipse and he went crazy? Also if it all turned out to be just a dream what are the amigos doing with your ship? Now that I think about you never really find out about the Dark Lord's motivations either. Oh well, still enjoyed it.

The point is that Andy is not afraid of the darkness anymore, he imagined this adventure from the beginning to overcome his fear. And the last level took place in the real world where andy was hitting some strange objects that he couldn't clearly see what it was and he was pretending that he is fighting with some monsters , in fact he was just destroying his treehouse...
