I can't believe how much tighter and fatter that Dean V sounds than the old Gibsons. I had an '81 V back in the day and I couldn't get any balls out of it to save my life. I was swapping out pickups every other week and finally came to the realization that I had it apart on my work bench more than I was play the thing. It was junk. The Deans sound nice and thick.
