If you aren't booed at some point during your career you are likely being too derivative. Some people just want what THEY think is "right" music. SRV haters stuck around for a while and there are still some purists who talk crap. But honestly, he was a great artist, great player, and a positive cultural influence when music was starting to devolve all around the world. I miss him... but we'll always have his music.
