Hmm, just wondering how much foot striking they study in wing chun... Its obvious more emphasis on hand striking but do they have high kicks too? Either way WC guy looked like he has no training for those kind of kicks and didnt really get the chance to get close enough to him because of this

This style of Karate is excellent. I have watched a number of videos on it and it looks really good. The Wing Chun guy here - I am not sure he has been doing it that long. I have just started learning Wing Chun and my stance is much better than his? Still good for him for getting into the ring with a black belt. Wing Chun is all about forward motion. Did not see much of that in this fight. Also no trapping techniques and no chain punches! Maybe he was having an off day.

@sahapoom1975 It's not true that Ving Tsun is a ridiculous fighting style. It's just that ppl don't understand what Ving Tsun is all about. For example when a martial art like Ving Tsun becomes very big (many schools, commercials etc.) in the world, you will have lots of differences in teaching and understanding. Nowadays many people who teach students gives too much credit to money instead of real quality lessons.

Hey guys stop criticising the Wing Chun guy, this is only sparring not a real fight. Sparring and real fight is totally different. I am a Kyokushin practitioner and none of this fight determines which style is the best. You will only know when its applicated in real street fight.

@Osky173 - Dude the Wing Chun guy is reacting to the simplest attacks. His Wing Chun skills have nothing to do with it. He just doesn't have any fight experience and by the looks of it, no sparring skills either. If street fighting is the ultimate test of a fighter (which I disagree on), then this guy has no chance. He can't even handle a simple sparring situation. He's not even being punched in the face.

dudes...K.Karate will kick any WC guys ass...its a martial art that prepares the practitioner to withstand damaged in a real fight...with a guy that knows how to deliver blows efectively...WC its just a fantasy TMA that makes the people who practice it believe that they can actualy fight...or even deliver damage to the oponent...see how many WC practitioners have a good run in K1 tournaments for example...se how good the K.K guys are...i practice BJJ...but..i know when a martial art can kick ass

Wing Chun is a great "Style" but wasn't best demonstrated in this video...

The wing chun guy at most was a beginner level...

Honestly though in a real street fight Wing Chun isn't the most effective art around, but then again Wing Chun should be learned not to look for fights...

Kyokushin is great, its a good style to become tough and way more street effective, If you were to put two MASTERS of these styles in one ring it would be a great fight, but I'd probably put my money on Kyokushin..

The style Kyokushin Karate is real good in real life, but I"m very sure the Wing Chun guy in this video does not know Wing Chun Kung Fu. He"s just one of your student pretending to be a wing chun practitioner. Put a real wing chun fighter, and you"ll have a real fight in your hands.

BS. I'm a wc practitioner myself and i do live sparring and i'm getting sick of all this bs, whenever a wc guy gets his ass kicked its not a wc fighter (many times even when the wc guy wins). Maybe he's new, or just new to sparring. Let the guy get some experience, maybe he is doing chun.

Clearly you know nothing about Kyolkushin or how insulting it is to suggest they would do such a thing. That kind of fraud may happen in Wing Chun but it simply does not happen in Kyokushin and would never be tolerated.
