This is really good, and a lovely tune. I've been trying to find a video of this tune on the piano as that is what I'm playing this on but so far no luck D:
A classic march. You have all the embellishments played correctly and the makings of a fine piper. Try resting your chanter on a table or your knee when you play, it takes the strain of holding it off of your low hand.
Good to hear my tune played so well! Especially after only a few months. Initially it is hard not to 'cross finger' - try lifting your fingers OFF the chanter just before placing the others on the chanter. Good also to hear plenty Low G in the Taorluath & Rodin. Well done again!!
Not bad; clean embellishments. Watch crossing noises when switching between top hand and bottom hand notes, though. Are you on the pipes yet? Good stuff.
Thanks. :) I've been playing since Feb but I'm not to the pipes yet. Actually, I was supposed to start yesterday, but my instructor's aunt died so he couldn't make it. :(
Dale Brown. I guess he just put out a book recently, but I only browsed it for 2 seconds when I was just starting and it was WELL above my level of playing. :P
