first of all you suck at pivots because you don't know how to start them. you have to stand in fourth position with your feet one in front of the other wide apart, and actually squat a little on your front leg, like bend it and put your weight on it so you could be able to lift your back leg up without even really trying, so your front leg should be your main balance point. then have the same arm as leg in front bent and the other to the side, and don't twist your shoulders. to get a good pivot,
@XEmoGGirlX , he is clearly trying. To do what we coaches call constructive coaching, why don't you avoid starting off your comments to him with a "you suck?" That's only going to bring him down, not make him feel motivated to improve them. In RG, the 4th position of the feet is hardly emphasized during preparation for pivots. It is more of a large lunge position, which he does need to work on. The rest of your advice is fine...but try lightening up the the kid a little bit. He's trying.
the actual turn doesn't come from your arms(how hard you swing them) it comes from your squat on your front leg. when you jump you squat, this is the same concept, to turn you have to squat in the forth ballet position and then do whatever turn you like but don't be croquet and don't do too many turn, b/c your body can't take it, the more you do in a rush the less you gain or learn from it. and please work on both of your legs cause youll end up walking weird. second, rope needs to have knots.
I'm Sorry, but you never did a fouette! I think you were trying to do a la seconde turns! Search youtube for justforkixs vids on how to do a la seconde turns. You have great flexibility and are in good shape, but you lack the technique to execute the turns properly. Focus on proper hand placement (first position, then seconde/ your hands open to second as your leg opens to second position), your preparation (start in fourth position/ this must be solid), and your form (find a barre and practice)
try putting your arms in a first postion ( ballet ) then out into a third after your pirroutes :D great your also pointe your feet is the most important thing to do you may have the flexability but do you have the passion ? :D good work mate x
