I still feel chills crawling down my spine when i see this

if only someone would make Middle Earth Entirely (1 Ft = 1 Ft, 1 mile = 1 mile) that would be the most awesome dude in history

  • Interesting how the only one to offer Gimli any condolences throughout this scene is Boromir. And later on he's the one who is calling Aragorn out on ignoring the emotional state of his companions. These little things that the films did with Boromir's character (not to mention Sean Bean's performance) helped make Boromir so much more sympathetic, so that when he was seduced by the Ring, it was all the more tragic.

  • @JimmySteller Yea i never noticed boromir doing that till the second time i saw the movie.

  • Where was the light coming from I wonder? That looks like a good way to go out!

  • Gimli is boss, Aragorn is all hype.

  • Such a damn good movie my gosh...

  • The scene b4 this is great

  • what's the name of the music track?

  • :40 such a powerful scene

  • track id?

  • the first scene i ever saw in a LOTR movie. loved it

  • fool of a took!

  • they are coming!

  • So much awesomeness in just 4 minutes. I can't stop imagining the great halls of Moria, it's so majestic...

  • DANGIT PIP!! DO YOU WANT TO BE KILL....NOT BY GOBLINS....BY GANDALF!!!!

  • disturbing to know that those dead dwarves in that room, will be the main characters that you root for and connect to in The Hobbit..

  • Drums.....drums in the deep....they are coming.

I know they are just goblins but that whole war drum thing is super menacing.

  • Up to 1:12 is probz my favorite scene in the whole series

  • Balin's tomb is my favorite soundtrack of the whole god damn lotr

  • Ballin is gonna be in The Hobbit right?? Will feel bad coming back here after watching Hobbit

  • @EnigmaticMayur And also Oín and Ori. Oín is mentioned in that book as well and Ori was the writer of the book. Both died, sadly.

  • 1:20 is the best bit xD

  • Fool of a Took!

  • Ups!

  • Look at Aragorn throughout this scene. Notice how he never shows the right side of his face? This is because of an accident while surfing in New Zealand left it bruised so badly the makeup department couldn't cover it up. So Viggo is mortal after all!

  • Single greatest musical composition 0:17

As well as the single greatest movies ever created.

  • "Let me risk a little more light..." The best musical cue, in the best movie ever made.

  • the dwarf holding the book is ori

  • @sm0keshell Yeah, I just figured that out. Was the guy on top of the well a dwarf?

  • @sm0keshell how do you know that?

  • @cvxls I am gay for Lotr lore

  • @sm0keshell

I wonder how many other people realized that fact when they saw this film. It's gonna make "The Hobbit" a bit more depressing when you realize that Gandalf doesn't seem to recognize Ori as he's lifting the book off his corpse.

  • @Lamporre I don' t see how you've discerned that. He didn't kick the dwarf corpse over with disregard, and he took the book rather gently from his hands. Also, he removed his hat when he recognized Balin's tomb as a show of respect. Furthermore, based on the film's pacing we know that Moria orcs will be arriving as soon as Pippin commits his blunder, so it's not like Gandalf's going to take an inventory of the room to find every Dwarf he knew from Bilbo's adventure.

  • how do you know this ? if it's true im fkin super sad already

  • how do you know it's him

  • @baetuldinpascani Thats a little secretly secret

  • After looking through several bad clips & one freaking "radio clip" of this sceen,

This is by far the best Balin Thomb sceen on YouTube avaible.

  • I love this scene! And it's going to be so much more sad after watching the Hobbit...

  • @Feanorielle I was just thinking the same thing. R.I.P. Balin!

  • Fair were the many pillared halls of Kazadum. Before the fall of mighty kings beneath the stone.

  • thanks
